The produce and canning industries used to flourish in Lindale. The city was known as “the blackberry capital of the world” by the 1950s. However, over time these industries declined, allowing others to grow.
Today Lindale is the home of many rose fields. Many of the famous Tyler roses are grown and processed for shipment here.

Lindale is also home to country music icon Miranda Lambert. This is where her way to stardom has its roots, and you still can feel her presence in the community's life. Miranda gave the city its number one tourist attraction called the Pink Pistol. It is a 6000 square feet shopping center with lots to see, taste, and experience.

The mall is home to Miranda's own wine bar called Red 55 Wines. It is a cozy family-operated and owned winery providing 12 variants of the drink. All of the wines are grown, produced, and aged not far from the Lambert homestead. Pink Pistol is home to the Hemingway Tasting Room that is open daily and is happy to welcome you for a glass of wine.

If you want to dive into the culture and way of life of Lindale even more profoundly, make sure to visit its Texas Music City Grill and Smokehouse. This place is well-known and loved among a variety of Texas musicians and, over the years, has become a significant gathering place for live performances, as well as a superb spot to get some steak and spirits.

To take a break from the busy downtown life of Lindale, tour one of its parks and get some fresh air and exercise, or just find a place to recollect your thoughts. Darden Harvest Park is the newest park in the city. It is located in the center of the swiftly developing Cannery District. It provides excellent recreational space with playgrounds, a one-mile paved walking path, a dog park, a pavilion with picnic spots, and just a beautiful background for your evening stroll. There's also Faulkner Park which provides a lot of game fields and courts and a beautiful walking area around the scenic pond. It is located just 4 miles north of Lindale.

Another site definitely worth visiting while you're around is the Old Mill Pond Museum. It is a museum dedicated to the Early American Life, and it is situated in a scenic wooded area. The Old Mill holds various exhibits of the period from the 1850s to the 1950s. And it invites all to learn more about the region while walking around the beautiful park surrounding the building or having a picnic nearby.
