The Welk location in Escondido is centrally located. The nearby cities of Vista, San Marcos, the beaches, and San Diego provide a multitude of extensive vetted list of restaurants eateries that were a 15-30 minute drive from the resort. The front desk offered an. Escondido was also a great jumping off spot for visiting many of the local attractions. Many were within an easy 30 minute drive.
