Grand Junction has a charming main street that is straight out of the 1960's. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and has outstanding public art sculptures displayed all over the little downtown.

Enjoyed Grand Junction. Attended a grandson's college graduation. We've only driven through Grand Junction on our way to Moab and the National Park.

Went to Colorado National Monument and was stunned at the views. Had great sushi at Suehiro Japanese Restaurant downtown. It was worth the 30 min. wait. Also had great coffee all over town and even caught a movie at the Pictureshow Theater when we were too tired for anything else. Terrific trip with my daughter looking at the college.

From what little we saw Grand Junction appeared to be a nice resort town. We left the city right after checking out and drove to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park located about an hour's drive south of Grand Junction and on the way to Farmington, NM which was out next stop. The Black Canyon National Park is a beautiful park which we enjoyed so much we ended up spending most of the day there and didn't leave until just before sunset. This resulted in our having to drive on a winding road across two mountain passes in the dark on our way to Farmington. Would have preferred to drive that road in daylight.

We were at a conference at the Two Rivers Convention Center which spilled over into conference rooms at the neighboring hotels. Literally every single person I came into contact with at all locations was kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They were responsive when we needed it and truly made us feel welcome in your town.
Downtown Grand Junction had wonderful shopping. We enjoyed looking at all the sculptures. There were many restaurant choices.
Now is the right time to visit Grand Junction: Colorado's Wine Country! Hotels located right in the middle of wineries or visit the Grand Mesa, a beautiful wilderness area where you can see a Moose or even a Black Bear running across the street. Grand Mesa is also Grand Junctions's Ski area. Dinosaur Park and Colorado National Monument are also great places to visit while in Grand Junction.
Nice little city - small enough to feel homey, large enough to have all the amenities.
