I always stay in the Medical Center where I enjoy Hermann Park, walking through the Park and walking through Rice University.

I loved the diversity of the people. I walked out from the hotel and heard three different languages spoken before I ever made it to breakfast and it made my human heart so happy to experience the beauty of the diversity in Houston.

We were there for a wedding. But we did eat at The Pit where the food was delicious.
Livestock show and transportation from parking lots to barn areas was very convenient. Workers were very friendly and helpful.

I liked that it was walkable during and felt safe (Rusk street to Convention Center) with well lit streets, many police patrolled the area, and my 13 year old daughter and I enjoyed the fresh air vs uber ride to get to the competition.
It's a fun city. Lots to do.
