These gardens are a Victorian formal garden which lead to the ruins of Reading Abbey. Reading Gaol is also worth a visit - it was the place Oscar Wilde was imprisoned. Due to the towns large student population there is quite a lot of things going on here in the evening. With endless options of fine dinging restaurants, stylish bars and clubs, visitors will be spoilt for choice.

I used to live in reading for 60 years I was seeing my grand daughters.
I was born there and it is very prosperous and with good transport links.
Nice walks around the river and canal area. Local park was nice to view aswell. A wide variety of shops, pubs and eateries. Nice place to visit.
