The Acworth center point is around the area of Downtown Acworth and 5 miles west of Kennesaw State University.
To get the most out of your Acworth vacation, you need to visit at the right time. Fortunately, there's something to do in Acworth year-round. The lakes and mountains don't go anywhere, and Georgia doesn't get that cold during the winter. There isn't perpetual summer like Florida, however, so make sure you plan your trip accordingly.
Travel to Acworth during the summer to enjoy a beach experience without having to deal with a beachside town. Hordes of people crowd popular beaches on the coast while the shore of Lake Acworth is fairly spacious during the summer months. If you want to cruise across the lake with a speedboat or jet ski, look elsewhere because gas powered watercraft aren't permitted. If you want to enjoy the tranquility of a calm beach, however, few places do the job better than here. Whether you want to paddleboard or kayak or do nothing at all and just relax, Acworth is perfect.
One of the more popular seasons in Acworth is the fall. The leaves turn into their warm colors and the temperature is just right. It'll be hard to find a better time to explore Acworth's numerous parks. You'll find numerous events taking place in the fall as well like an art exhibit on Main Street. There are even more festivals into the winter months like the Festival of Trees if you'd rather not face the fall crowds. That said, December will still be busy since everyone will be out shopping at Acworth's specialty stores.
You'll find plenty of bargains in the Main Street shops, but you can also find them in hotels. Specifically, Acworth hotels offer AAA and military discounts that are just waiting for you to take advantage of.
The Quality Inn offers a generous discount of 9% for AAA members. This hotel has a lot to offer as well, like a free breakfast and an outdoor pool. You can even bring your pets if you want. You have free Wi-Fi and cable in every room in addition to coffee and tea makers and even ironing boards.
For military discounts, head to Best Western Acworth Inn. Here you'll find 24-hour fitness facilities, a free breakfast, an outdoor pool, and more. You can also bring your pets here to stay. Newspapers are provided in the lobby every morning, and there is a business center on-site if you need to get any important work done. Enjoy free Wi-Fi and cable programming in your room. If you plan to bring your children with you, those under 12 years old can stay free.
When it comes to hotels, you don't have to pick budget or luxury. There's a nice middle ground you can attain if you're okay making some compromises. The mid-range options in Acworth have a lot to offer without burning a big hole in your budget.
La Quinta Inn Acworth has a lot to offer along with frequent deals, especially in the fall. There's a 24-hour fitness and business center along with free cribs and infant beds. In fact, if you have children with you under 18, they stay free. You can enjoy the best TV after your Acworth adventures with premium channels included in every room. Take the time to enjoy the free breakfast every morning and stay connected with the free Wi-Fi.
If you want additional value, check out the Days Inn Acworth. Each room comes with free Wi-Fi and premium TV channels. There's even an airport shuttle for added convenience if you have to fly in. A computer station is available along with a robust business center. Each morning, you can enjoy a free buffet breakfast in the common area. If you're bringing multiple children with you, this hotel allows up to three kids under the age of 18 to stay for free.
Wherever you decide to stay in Acworth, there's always something exciting to do. It's a good idea to plan out your itinerary beforehand since you probably won't have time to see everything. Just make sure you bring your best walking shoes if you want to be prepared.
Acworth is known for its nature. Numerous parks and lakes surround the area. Make sure you stop by Cauble Park for beautiful views and relaxing strolls. You can even visit Cobblestone Golf Course to get a few rounds of golf in. If you visit during the summer, be sure to stop by Acworth Beach and enjoy the quiet lake free from the overwhelming noise of partiers and speedboats. If you'd prefer a boating experience, head to Lake Allatoona where there are plenty of boat tours available.
Inside the city, you can find numerous festivals and events going on year-round, but fall is the best time if you love music and art. Numerous shops and restaurants line the city streets, so you'll always have something exciting to see. If you visit during Halloween, you'll also find the Folklore Haunted House on Main Street. Frequently lauded as the best haunted house in the Atlanta area, Folklore adds a scary yet exciting experience to your Acworth vacation. No matter your tastes, this incredible city has something for everyone.
