When to Visit Mission Viejo, CA
Like many of its Southern California neighbors, Mission Viejo has a semi-arid Mediterranean climate. Visit during the warm season, which spans from June through October, and you'll experience highs in the upper 70s or low 80s and dry skies. If you visit during the winter or spring, you'll find temperatures in the mid-60s and moderate rainfall each month.
While Mission Viejo is strikingly sunny for most of the year, the late spring season is usually marked by clouds and fog. If you visit during May or June, be prepared for some gloomy weather, especially in the morning.
If you're planning your trip around one of Mission Viejo's major events, mark your calendar for one of the following festivals. In late April and early May, the Arts Alive and Street Painting Festival invites participants to join the community in creating themed street art. On Independence Day, the Fourth of July Street Faire and Fireworks Spectacular is the place to be, with games, food vendors, live performances, and a fireworks display.
The Mission Viejo Readers' Festival offers a series of events and activities that engage readers of all ages. Join in craft workshops, see chess demonstrations, meet authors, and have fun reading.
