Founded in 1688, this homestead was the first home of Peter Rice, a local settler who became the first person to build in Westborough. After settling and starting a family, Rice became active in politics that would later shape the Westborough/Marlborough area.
The homestead is currently the home of the Marlborough Historical Society, and tours and other events are available throughout the year. During non-peak hours, the historical society requests that you inquire about guided tours at least 10 days in advance.

Westborough was central to all of our places of employment. There were many places to eat locally that were gluten free. This made eating out easy as one member of our party is highly allergic to wheat.
