The Westborough center is approximately 4 miles southwest of Forekicks 2 Sports Complex and 5 miles south of Apex Entertainment Marlborough.
From June through September, Westborough is hopping with tourists as the temperatures warm up from the spring. Temperatures generally range from about 60 to 80 degrees, giving you the perfect weather to explore the city on foot or grab a bicycle and ride around the city's parks with friends or family. Hotel demand during this time can go way up, so make sure to book your hotel room early to get your hotel preference at a price that you'll love.
From March to May and October through early December, the weather in Westborough can be unpredictable and volatile, so you should come prepared with a raincoat and a jacket. However, it can also warm up during the day in April and May, so wear layers when you're walking around town. Hotel rooms aren't always easy to find during this time of year, especially if there's an event going on, so make sure to book a week or so ahead of time, or check the calendar to see what's happening in Westborough, Boston, and the surrounding area.
Winter can get downright chilly in Westborough, and many tourists don't want to wade through snow and ice. If the prospect of cold weather doesn't bother you or you love the cold air and a fresh snowfall, head to Westborough during this time. Not only will you enjoy the winter weather, but you'll also get a premium deal on hotels around the area.
Don't pay full price at a hotel when a lesser amount will do. At the Residence Inn in Westborough, you can get discounts of up to 10 percent if you're a AAA member or a member of the AARP. Not only will you put money back in your pocket, but you'll also enjoy in-room perks, such as free wireless internet, a full-size kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop, as well as cable television. Take advantage of recreational amenities as well including an outdoor tennis court, pool, and fitness center.
You don't have to spend bundles of money to get excellent accommodation and family fun. At the Great Wolf Lodge, you can actually have both at a price you'll definitely love. All rooms here are suites, offering enough accommodation for your entire family, with separate rooms and beds so the kids won't bicker with each other. If they start to, gather them up and take them downstairs to the 68,000-square foot water park. This is the centerpiece of the lodge and an excellent choice for a vacation, even if the weather won't cooperate.
In addition to the water park, you'll also get to enjoy delicious food, shopping, gaming, and other amenities located throughout the resort. When the day is over or you're running low on energy, hop back to your room and veg out with cable programming or free wireless internet that keeps you connected 24/7.
With dozens of parks and wilderness, Westborough is an outdoorsman's paradise. One of the most popular areas in the town is the Westborough Wildlife Management Area, a 427-acre parcel of untouched wilderness, just 30 miles from the hustle and bustle of Massachusetts' largest city. Most of the area features open fields that are perfect for exploration, and throughout the year, the land comes alive with beautiful wildflowers. If you have the ability or the drive, grab your mountain bike and head out on the trails that traverse the park. Hunting is also one of the most popular activities in the area, so if you plan to walk, make sure to wear bright colors, preferably orange.
When the weather's nice out, you can also head to Lake Chauncy, which is located right in the middle of the area. The beach along the southern edge of the lake is one of the most popular summer destinations, offering opportunities for swimming, boating, suntanning, or just lounging around.
However, not everyone loves getting outdoors. Others may find a bit of retail therapy more inviting, and Westborough's Solomon Pond Mall is sure to please. Opened in 1996, Solomon Pond is the only fashion-oriented mall in New England, offering 120 clothing stores ranging from budget to high-end. During the holiday season, bring the kids along for the fun and get a picture with Santa, who's known to hang out at the mall every day from November through Christmas.
If you're interested in the history of the area, a trip to the Peter Rice Homestead is a no-brainer. Founded in 1688, this homestead was the first home of Peter Rice, a local settler who became the first person to build in Westborough. After settling and starting a family, Rice became active in politics that would later shape the Westborough/Marlborough area.
The homestead is currently the home of the Marlborough Historical Society, and tours and other events are available throughout the year. During non-peak hours, the historical society requests that you inquire about guided tours at least 10 days in advance.

It's quiet
Our new home in Westborough! We loved Arturo's.
Convenient to many different destinations. Multiple restaurants and shopping.
Many restaurants and easy access to Boston and Worcester
Westborough was central to all of our places of employment. There were many places to eat locally that were gluten free. This made eating out easy as one member of our party is highly allergic to wheat.
Lots of stores nearby!
Good location near Route 9.
It had all the amenities that a hotel could have; it was great.
I love Westborough.
This location was very close to a baseball field that we had a 5 day tournament at. I highly recommended this location for all travelers in this area.
