Not as congested as Toronto, clean, lots of good dinner spots. Lots of hiking, and waterfall trails.
Concert venue is within walking distance, definitely a big plus.
It's where my hubby is from . People are friendly, places to eat and the newly renovated TD Coliseum.
The TD Coliseum was quite phenomenal. Journey definitely picked the right city and it was worth the drive.
The Wing Club just past the hotel has great food.
We were there for a ball tournament..the diamonds are well maintained clean...maneuvering the city streets can be a challenge...enjoyed our weekend stay

Enjoyed the area scenery, shops and the Ancaster Mill area - needed more time to tour Hamilton Center.
Our family lives in Hamilton so we visiting every few years. Hamilton is a great place to visit and so very close to Toronto. It is less than an hour away and you get to enjoy two cities at once.
The Hamilton Airport is a great place to travel from, the employees were professional and efficient. We saw numerous food establishments offering a variety of food choices. Easy access when arriving at the airport and when departing.

Hamilton is a very nice city with lots to offer. If you are not familiar with the city, driving around takes some getting used to and orientation. Once you get the feeling for the one-way streets and synchronized traffic lights, the out-of-town driver should find navigating the city relatively easy.
Waterfront and restaurants were spectacular. Every kind of food you could ask for within walking distance. Very clean as well

I had some spare time and I'm an airplane nut so I stopped by the Canadian Heritage Warplane Museum out at the Hamilton International Airport (YHM). Great time, lots of work going on restoring new airplanes in their collection. Great people to visit with.
