I lived in the Portland area for 48 years. Moved back to my home roots near Spokane.
I love Portland and am sad the events from recent history have impacted the city. It's getting better though. It feels cleaner and safer every time I visit.
Portland is amazing. Great restaurants, good people...Portland is "different," but in a good way!

What I especially liked is the community feeling of the large Portland Marathon event. So many people and families roaming around and I felt completely safe and enjoyed the city.

Love, love, love Portland! The city is amazing - the food, the history, the river - it's all incredible.
I love the little shops in the Pearl District and the proximity to the bigger shops like New Seasons, Whole Foods, Trader Joe etc
I was visiting family, have been here many times and love the city.
Everything is close to the hotel and that means a lot bc I am from WA and did not know the area well.
Sole purpose was Teddy Swims in Troutdale. Easy in and easy out.
The location of the hotel in the psu district was warm welcoming and diverse!

Museums,parks, trails, close to mountains or the beach or the desert.

Excellent restaurants, food trucks, etc. you just can't go wrong. Very nice friendly people, mellow city very few sirens. There are so many throwback towns / villages in Portland with a very positive vibe (think Mayberry).
I love the city of Portland. I could move there and fit in quickly. I love the Norwegian features, but also the freedom and relaxed sense of traffic, walking, and simply enjoying life.
The food at Jake's and Screen Door was wonderful! Omsi was fun and the hotel was very centralized to everything we did.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly. Portland is wonderful! Just stay elsewhere.
My family was happy a celebration party for my son. We went to the Ringside Restaurant. It was a wonderful experience.
Portland was charming. Was only there for a funeral.

Beautiful, walkable downtown with sweeping river views, bridges, and mountains. A gorgeous city to visit!

My husband and I have always loved our stops in Portland. We do not stay as often as we used to since the pandemic but we are happy to see that Portland is rising from the ashes that the pandemic caused.
The city is clean and ready to be enjoyed. The noon time concert at the Courthouse was fun. Public transportation was clean, safe and everywhere. Lots of bike lanes for the brave.

Incredible parks and food. Had a great time downtown and seeing all the architecture, in particular SW and Washington Park.
The beauty of the mountains and how nice the people are.
We walked everywhere last night, it was a lovely evening and the four of us (women) felt safe and had fun.

Rose Garden, Powell's Book Store. The wonderful campus at OHSU and its great view. Edgefield was a magical experience.
Closeness to downwtown Portland is why I chose Duniway Hilton.
We visited Portland for the Symphony and for the Theatre - the Heathman Hotel was a bonus!
I like seeing entertainment such as music concerts and comedians in Portland. Plus, it is fun to try new restaurants there.
Powells Bookshop is amazing.

We did an Underground Donut Tour which was great! Looking forward to the Pizza Tour, Ice Cream Tour and Cocktail Tour. We went to the Portland Art Museum also, which I highly recommend. Altogether a slightly quirky but fun city.

We liked that the Cathedral was within walking distance! Lots of fun breweries around the neighborhood and a cute market with yummy food next door!
Definitely a weird and unique city; the 24 hour foodcarts a few blocks away were key, as well as overall architecture downtown.
Visited the beautiful and serene Lan Su Gardens. Ate at Deschutes Brewing Company. Visited Powell's Bookstore and World Foods. All are within walking distance of the hotel. Great fun!!!
