Its counterpart in Baltimore, Maryland, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, is larger, but the Washington, D.C. location is older, neither being part of the Smithsonian. The D.C. location is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and has animal feedings and aquarist talks at 2:00 p.m. every day. Parking is available across the street at the Ronald Reagan Building, or there are Metro stations nearby, Federal Triangle on the blue and orange lines, or Metro Center on the red line.
