"Walkable, Fun, Plenty to Do"
Score 5.0 / 5
Shirlington Village is very walkable. We were able to walk to all of our wedding events, aside from the wedding itself, and we were even able to get our hair and nails done locally. The restaurants are delicious, particularly the Thai place, and the bar scene made for a fun bachelorette party.
Score 4.0 / 5
Arlington is a great area with plenty to do--shopping, dinning out and wide variety of places to choose from.
"Historic, Wonderful City "
Score 5.0 / 5
Arlington is centrally located to many things, most notable Washington, DC. There's also the historic National Cemetery, The Pentagon, and plenty of parks and memorials.
"Beautiful, but Crowded"
Score 5.0 / 5
The city is beautiful, but I wouldn't live there because there's just way too many people. It's impossible to find a good parking, people are rude, and everything is overpriced. The metro was an experience. It's better to walk and commute than driving. All in all, it was OK.
Score 5.0 / 5
The Silver Line Diner in Arlington was terrific and the Arlington house was great.
Score 5.0 / 5
Lots of restaurant and bar options nearby, Metro and buses get you everywhere without traffic hassles (no mean feat in the Washington DC area), attractive clean city with class (love the brick sidewalks), and boatloads of attractive and friendly young people.
Score 5.0 / 5
We liked leaving Arlington very much. The traffic was horrendous. Ironically the people there were very nice, despite the rainy weather in March and the speeding cars.
