Some areas were nice. Other areas were run down. Like many cities that size the homeless population and crime is more prevalent and more noticeable.

We usually stay there because it is less than 2 miles from my daughters who we had Christmas with along with 21 other family members.
There were a lot of friendly people in Stockton, however, I noticed a lot of sirens during our two day stay. It would also be very helpful if the city could put up street signs! I would have been lost without Google maps guiding me.
