Below are reviews of the city of Midtown, NY from an actual visitor's perspective.
The location of the Grand Central Hyatt on 42nd Street is very convenient! I was within walking distance of everything I wanted and needed to do in New York! I did not need a taxi cab or an Uber while I was there nor did I need to ride the subway.
Midtown is amazing! Lots of shopping and things to do. Harder to find a traditional breakfast place to eat than lunch or dinner. Be advised of the many people who will approach you on the streets for money. All the characters and entertainers expect money for pics, so if you don't wanna pay then don't even look their way. They will swarm you.
Liked the location that was three blocks away from the theatre I came in town to go to.
Great location we walked everywhere we wanted to go.
Love the city. The drivers are crazy and time square is super busy at night. In time square the people walking around trying to get you to stop just try to take money from you. One of them asked me to tip and even told me to pull my wallet out and looked in my wallet. Definitely would recommend going to Central Park for a carriage ride.
The city was nice and everything was in walking distance.
nice location to most all events
Lincoln Center, Central Park, museums. Not to mention multiple subway and bus routes.
Busy place! Lots to do - plenty to drink and eat. People watching at its finest!
The location is great, very walkable if your activities for the day are in Midtown.
Location to everything
Train stations were within walking distance.
The location of the hotel made traveling through the city so much enjoyable. I could walk to pretty much anyplace from the hotel location.
