Central Park was only a ten minute walk away which was a huge deal for us and we liked seeing more local spots (small businesses, cafes, restaurants) and not that many tourists around.

Everything! Summit One was amazing. Especially with the private tour. Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were excellent with a tour guide. The 911 memorial grounds were also worth seeing with a tour guide for all of the information.

MoMA is well worth visiting and just a short walk from the hotel.
The area is beautiful and I feel very safe there. It is near museums, subways, and fine restaurants. I have walked alone in the evening because there are so many outdoor cafés and people around. It is a lovely area to discover.
