LaPlata has always been a welcoming town, been coming to this area for at least 50 years. Have watched it change and grow over the years... we love some of the special little coffee places, Wee Bean in particular on 301. Love Maryland!
I was attending a genealogy conference at Newburg's Veteran's memorial. In La Plata, I ate at least 4 times at Marie's Diner which I highly recommend! The Cream of Crab soup is especially good! Portions and prices are very good as well!
