When to Visit Renton, WA
Washington state is known for being rainy, so if that's something you want to avoid then head to Renton during July and August. In nearby Seattle you'll find lots of festivals during the summer. Unfortunately, tourism increases during summer so finding good hotel deals will be harder.
To get a better room rate while still enjoying good weather, visit Renton on a weekday in September. Kids will be in school, leaving the tourists limited mostly to the weekends for Washington visits. You'll probably be able to find a discount on a Renton hotel in winter, but it does get rather cold, which isn't always pleasant when combined with the rain.
