We ate at two awesome restaurants - Jack Stack Barbecue and Yardhouse. The Christmas lights were beautiful and there is a lot of old and beautiful architecture to see. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Union Station inside but I hear it is very neat to see also.

Love the Midland venue for concerts and that there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance in the area.
KC is truly a hidden gem. Amazing restaurants, jazz clubs, museums and cocktail lounges. A must visit spot. Try Brown and Loe or Fox & Pearl, then head to Green Lady Lounge for some of the best live Jazz I've ever seen!

Kansas City is an old railroad town that has grown up to have great sports, music, food and a sense of hometown pride. There is so much to do there from the Nelson Art Museum to the beautiful zoo, to eating the best BBQ in the US (pick any place, they're all great). With a history rich in African American harlem renaissance culture with blues & jazz at 18th & Vine to the Crossroads Arts District, it's more than just a flyover midwest town. It's a midwest destination.

Went to Union Station. Saw the train Museum, very nice! Unfortunately the other museums there are closed on Monday. The trolley tour there is wonderful and very reasonable! It gives a beautifully detailed tour of Kansas City! Harvey's restaurant at Union Station had deliciously prepared Kansas City food!
Love the food! Kansas City has the best BBQ. I also love the waterfountains and art sculptures Kansas City had.

First time to Kansas City. We were surprised and impressed with all the activities and sites available (WWI Memorial/ Museum, Truman Presidential Library, VFW National Headquarters, food, entertainment (you must visit the Green Lady Lounge Jazz Club and other nighttime entertainment), Royals baseball, etc. Will definitely come back here in the future.
