When to Visit Milwaukee, WI
Milwaukee has a humid continental climate with distinct seasons throughout the year. Summers tend to be warm and humid, with high temperatures in the low to mid-80s in July and August. Late spring to early fall is the rainy season in Milwaukee, and the city receives an average of three to four inches of rain each month. A few sprinkles don't deter the crowds, however, and summer is typically Milwaukee's busiest season for tourism.
Winters can get cold in Brew City, and high temperatures average about 30 degrees in December and January. Though Milwaukee winters can get snowy, weather in the city tends to be much milder than it is in the surrounding suburban areas.
As the City of Festivals, it should come as no surprise that Milwaukee is home to several popular annual events. Time your visit right, and you'll get to join in some of the city's diverse cultural celebrations. For instance, German Fest and Oktoberfest acknowledge Milwaukee's German roots with food and fun, while Polish Fest celebrates the city's longstanding Polish heritage with culinary and cultural events. Every summer, Milwaukee also hosts Festa Italiana, the nation's largest Italian-American event.
Summer is prime time for music and community festivals in Milwaukee, too. Summerfest brings over 800 bands and nearly 1 million attendees to Brew City each July, while the Wisconsin State Fair attracts record crowds with carnival rides, agricultural competitions, and fair food. If your visit falls during the autumn, don't miss Trainfest, the nation's largest model railroad festival.

We were here for a Charger/Packers game from San Diego. Even though we were the 'enemy' everyone treated us with respect. I can only hope when Packer fans come to San Diego, we treat them as well as we were treated.

I can't say I got to know much about the rest of Milwaukee. I was on foot and actually walked from the Art Museum to the bus depot for my trip back to Madison. The concrete sidewalks did a number on my hips and knees but it was good to walk. I would love to explore more of Milwaukee in the future.

The Harley museum was a real treat and the Fox and Hound restaurant served excellent steaks. Jakes also restaurant served the best corned beef that I have ever had.
"Safe, Clean and Try the Trolley!"
Score 5.0 / 5
Milwaukee is the cleanest big city I have ever visited! I also felt completely safe the whole time I walked the city (I am from Flint, MI). We loved the trolley loop for getting around easily and learning about the city. I only wish the trolley driver would have talked more about the city, architecture and culture rather than be a running commercial for restaurants and bars.My husband and I would like to come back to explore on our own without the confines of a tight itinerary and schedule! I am also recommending the family-friendliness of the city to my friends and co-workers.Also, I appreciate your service for making it easy to make group reservations.
