Best Time to Visit Markham, Ontario
Most people visit Markham during the summer. The warm temperatures and abundance of street festivals make May through August extremely vibrant and busy. You might experience higher hotel prices during these months, however, because of the increased demand. Additionally, you'll battle crowds on the street and in establishments, so if you get stressed out by the commotion, consider visiting during a different time of year.
The fall can prove beautiful and comfortable in Markham. There's a bite to the air, but truly cold weather won't set in until late October. You'll see the trees change color, which can make your travel photos even more interesting, and hotel prices will begin to decline.
If you visit Markham during the winter, don't forget to pack your heaviest winter coat. Temperatures can dip well below freezing, and you might face icy or snowy roads. While you'll save considerable cash on lodging, you might not want to spend much time outdoors. However, there are a few ski destinations within driving distance of this city, including the highly rated Scarborough Cross Country Ski Club in Scarborough.
