I've watched the city of Waynesboro grow for fifty years to become a gem of the Shenandoah Valley. Businesses were welcomed there and their schools grew in pace with the population. The residents are boastful about their city and are quick to assist a visitor in need of directions. Such a pleasant city nestled up against the western slopes of the Blue Ridge Mtns below the Skyline Dr.
Beautiful and clean small city close to the intersection of the Skyline Drive and The Blueridge Pkwy. The South River runs through Waynesboro and is bordered by a well maintained linear park. Waynesboro is one of the closest cities to trailheads of the Appalachian Trail and also a gateway city to the Shenandoah Valley.
