Many food choices just name it. Monument Ave. The capital building tour and the Carey Town area.
I loved the tour of the State Capital. It was informative and beautiful
The city immediately surrounding the Conference venue was very accommodating and vibrant with activity. However, since Richmond is not interpreted as a TIER IV city, I was forced to stay 20 minutes away in TIER II lodging were the surrounding area was less than inviting and Uber back and forth. Regardless, my drivers were pleasant and knowledgeable when traffic delays occurred. I maintained punctuality and enjoyed the new learning as best as I could.

The hotel provides a shuttle service which we used to take us to the Richmond Museum of Art, a short distance away.We had visited the University of Richmond which is a beautiful campus!

I love Richmond. I lived in a neighborhood close to the Arboretum business park. The Extended Stay America hotel does live up to the expectations associated with the Arboretum professional park.

Richmond is a very nice, peaceful place. It is full of history and charm.
We did not have much time for sightseeing, but on Sunday afternoon we were able to go into Richmond and tour the capital. The tour was fantastic. We wished we had allowed more time to tour the grounds and if I can ever take my family to Richmond, we will tour the capital and plan to spend an extra hour touring the outside displays.
I love Richmond because of the friendly people, quality service, and they respect boundaries.

A trip to Richmond isn't complete without visiting the city's historical roots. Visit the Edgar Allen Poe Museum, historic downtown homes, or take one of many local tours from river cruises to Segway tours.
We were there participating at the Virgina FIRST Robotics Competition for 3 days. I was a student at Richmond Professional Institute back in the early 60"s before it became VCU. I am amazed at the changes, not the quaint campus I remember. Still a beautiful clean city going through a rebirth.

Roads could be a little more enoyable to pass on with a vehicle due to a lot of potholes, but over all a great experience in the area.
Was there for a one-day training at the Workforce Development and Conference Center. Excellent facility! Nice, large mall nearby with a wide variety of dining options.
I love running in Richmond, pipeline and the Belle Isle trail. I don't go to a city (for fun) without running trails. We want to ride the Capital to Capital Trail. Love the museums and ethnic restaurants, love Cary Street, Maymont AND we love MEKONG's #1 beer bar in the nation. We always make time to go there. We want to go to the folk music festival next year.
