We liked the Mosaic Market District very much--very walkable with lots of interesting retail outlets, including Barnes & Noble.
Grocery store across the street. Restaurants were within easy driving distance

The hotel is located just a 10 min. walk to Tysons Corner Mall. The mall has diverse shops and is beautiful.

Two major malls right close by for shopping. Proximity to D.C. is excellent if touring is your intent.
