Lots of dining options. Relatively quiet.
Richmond is vibrant. This was our first time exploring the city. The food and music scene is outstanding. Maymont mansion and grounds are a must see. There is so much history in this city that it requires a return trip

I have come to love Richmond. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts has amazingly rich collections. The Carytown neighborhood has a great vibe, and the historic “Fan” area combines historic architecture with lively shops and restaurants.
Was in Richmond to attend the state tournament for swim competition. Really good.
There are many places to visit for people with or without children.
We were there for a one day conference, not a pleasure trip.

We didn't see much being exhausted upon arrival but it looked thriving with everything you could possibly need, saying this from just coming from the south!

We were on our 60th anniversary nostalgia trip back to the town where my husband graduated from VCU, we bought our first house and had our first child. Things have surely changed! We brought our daughter along to show all these (and more) to her. Richmond is a great place, especially if you love history and museums!

This part of Richmond is safer and much nicer than downtown. There are lots of good restaurants and better hotels.
