BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! THEY WILL KEEP CHARGING YOUR CREDIT CARD AFTER YOU HAVE CHECK OUT!!!!! Stayed from 3/31/13 through 4/3/13, place is old and dilapidated and in need of major repairs. The furniture and appliances are outdated and some of the staff at the front desk are very rude.
When I received my credit card statement I noticed 2 extra UNAUTHORIZED charges from the this Hotel, so I called to inquire the nature of the charges and the answer I received was that the charges were made to cover a toaster, a DVD player and 3 pillows that were missing.
I talked to the manager, Luis Vasquez, and explained to him that these items were not there at the time of check in but he did not want to listen, he plained told me the charges would stand, in other words he was accusing me of stealing them.
Beware, this is place is run by dishonest people « less

I cannot say enough about this amazing bargain that is literally steps to the beautiful and pristine Aliso Creek beach in Southern California. Our room was literally about twice the size of an "Embassy Suites" room, with a separate living room, kitchen with full size appliances, and a huge patio. We had views of the canyon and golf course, which were amazing. The pool and grounds were clean, as was our room.
There is a "Ruby's" Diner, and a large supermarket about 3/4 mile North of the hotel on the Coast Highway, which make this place very convenient for affordable dining. And of course the swanky and expensive restaurants in Laguna Beach are just a short drive away.
My wife and I loved this place and will visit it again soon. « less

Surrounded by nature, fresh air, 1 block to the beach, I love this retro peaceful get away. Birds, deer, lizards, squirrels are in this granite canyon and creek. The 9-hole golf course is gorgeous. In the summer, they have movies on the 1st green for the kids. I haven't had an opportunity to have a Bloody Mary at the golf club however I was told they are the best. A goal for next time.
The rooms are very retro and do not have air conditioning but plenty of fans to move the air around should you need them. I love the full kitchens in the suites. Our suite was open and airy. We had our own semi-private patio with a lounge, small table and a chair. There is a tunnel to the beach where they have fire pits, so a fire is a MUST on a nice evening. « less

The pool and hot tub are conveniently located and the adjacent 9 hole golf course is well kept and intersting to play. We stayed here 30 years ago and not much has changed. This place badly needs an influx of money. The sign on the highway is easy to miss (unlit). and you have to drive through a municipal works yard for 4-500 yds before it begins to look like a hotel. I suspect that the next time we go to Laguna Beach this whole place will be torn down. « less
