We booked several rooms this past weekend. Now, in all fairness, the front desk staff was kind and professional. But, that was the end of the positive. I spent most of the day in a high school gym for the basketball tournament and I returned to find that my room had not been cleaned at all. I called the front desk and they said someone was coming and no one ever showed up. I had to call and ask for more towels that morning since no one cleaned the room. I had to remove my own trash from the room. It gets worse. One of the rooms we had for the boys had roaches in it. There were like 10-12 roaches running across the floor It was so bad that one of the boys slept on the counter of the bathroom! Then, to add insult to injury, the manager said that she would refund only 1/2 a day and implied that we were lying about bugs biting the boys. She said, that could have happened anywhere. Then, she threatened to cancel my future reservation! As if I would ever come back to that dive of a hotel. I have never been so insulted and to think I paid for that crap. This property is disgusting. Oh and by the way, it's literally right next to the runway, so don't plan on getting any sleep. It's so bad even the roaches should move out. It is horrible! « less

Today I walked past 5 employees of this hotel and all 5 smiled and said hello...wow and I can't get my assistant to answer the phone. This is an airport hotel that looks good for it age. Its not the Western but I'm paying half of what I payed there. I stay here 6 to 10 times a year and I have had my share of issues but every time I have said something to the manager it get fixed and I am give a heart felt apology. I don't get people that use trip advisor to complain to the world when all they had to do is let someone know. I like this hotel and I like the crew that works here. Good job guys! « less

I recently stayed there with my family for 4 days. We were there for a reunion for the 1/10 Bravo Battery for the USMC. Needless to say there were a lot of us there for the reunion. My experience was absolutely horrible! We were told the pool would be ready for us to swim in. The pool was drained, filthly and what water it did have was moss green. The smell of the pool area was sickening. The out side of the hotel had a trash can with a mat covering it, therefor trash was scattered all around it. The room we stayed wasn't much better. Our curtains had a strip of blue tape stuck on it saying "curtains, 2 for $25.00", there wasn't any toilet paper in the bathroom, exahust fan didn't work. In the shower there was still soap from the people who stayed there previous to our stay. The toilet was dirty too. When we took showers the shower curtain would not stay closed. As a result, our entire bathroom floor was wet. We had to ask for towels and were told by a housekeeper and the supervisior, they would bring some to our rooms. Never seen them again. My mother was looking threw the drawers and found a rusted razorblade. This was also the very first hotel I have stayed at that charged you for breakfast! I got an apple and yogurt and was charged $6.99. Also during our stay the elevator went out. Wasn't so bad for me, I was on the 2nd floor, but it was hard for the people on the 4th floor and the elderly. I will never stay at that hotel again and would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy! « less

If a new TV in the room = re-modeling, then I give up, food, very little choice, breakfast buffet only availible if there were enough people staying, lunch the same applies, resturant closed for dinner, bar snacks were availible in the bar, we did not have a car, shuttle service to and from airport or Gracelands very good, we were warned not to go walking away from the hotel in the evening , staff very friendly, our room overlooked the green slimy swimming pool which resembled shrieks bathtub, tip to management,if your not using it ,empty it or cover it over, the hotel seems to be more for contractors working in the area rather than tourists visiting your fine city, sorry but will not be staying again, « less

Oh my goodness, where do I begin. My fiance and I came to Memphis on 3/27 after booking the hotel for a unfathomable price of $29 a night. I should have known by the price something was wrong. However, I read that the hotel has been remodeled and gave it a chance. When initially coming off the highway onto Brooks, oh my Lord, the neighborhood is rough looking. Right next door to the hotel is an abandoned hotel that is somewhat boarded up which is spooky looking. When we first pulled on the parking lot, we saw a lot of people just hanging out in the front of the hotel which is odd, and they were smoking and whatnot. We didn't bothered removing our luggage quite yet, which is a good thing for what we were about to endure. When we entered the lobby, it looked similar to the photo online, only that the lighting was dark. When we got to the check-in counter, there was a notice saying that water would not be available between the times of 12pm-4pm and I was like okie dokie then. Katrina (the check in rep) was nice, and polite, she gave us the key to the room and most hotels provide you with a card holder for the room key, oh not here, they handed us a pamphlet that was printed on regular printing paper it was comical. Then the music from the bars/restaurants were extremely loud. Headed towards the elevators and down this dimly lit hallway (thought I was in a horror movie) and onto our floor. Immediately it smelled like weed and urine. When we got to the room, we inspected it, and saw that there was hair all over the sheets (not sure what part of the body the hair came from) and then checked the bathroom, there was a hole gashed in the wall where the blow dryer was, the toilet water was brown. We asked for another room and again, dirty sheets and then the mattress is to small for the bed frame, and we literally looked on the side of the bed frame, and there was trash, hair tracks (that’s weave ), food crumbs all in that side. We were then escorted by the bartender possibly to another room and this room they said was a suite. Bahahahahhahaahahaha, we have stayed at plenty of hotels with suites and this was not one of them. Their definition of a suite is a room that had a connecting door to another room. This room was dirty and had white stains on the chair, and red stains on the floor (not sure what these stains were). Lastly, my fiancé went down to the front desk and told them that we needed something else, they gave us free breakfast coupons and drink coupons but I had enough. I booked through expedia and immediately canceled the reservation. We did not feel safe and the hotel was just downright disgusting. If you get a room facing towards the back, you can see all of the construction stuff still out back. Not all of the rooms are remodeled and they are partially remodeled. One of the rooms had the new furniture, but the curtains, and the carpet was still old. They also have some ghetto desk with the imprint of 4 presidents on it, like people are about to roll a joint or something. There are hookers, and pimps that were hanging out throughout the hotel. We went ahead and canceled and left and booked at the Four Points by Sheraton in Germantown. Thank you Jesus for them. The Clarion is just hell on earth. Never will stay here again or with the brand for that matter. « less
