I stayed here the summer of 2012. Considering it to be a low price, I would say that you get what you pay for. The location looked ok when we pulled up. I don't know much about Bossier City so I don't know what locations are safe or not. This one didn't look the safest but sure not the scariest either, about average. It's just off the road. The beds were comfy and we had pretty good channels to watch on tv. The view wasn't great at all, on the side we got we couldn't see anything hardly. I didn't notice any roaches at all like the other reviews said, but maybe that's just my room. It was quiet though, until we were sleeping and heard a train blow the horn about every hour!! it was horrible. Me and my youngest daughter couldn't sleep but my husband and 2 other daughters are light sleepers and slept through it all. But the train was really close, like about 4 cars away from the hotel. The staff was very friendly. If you're just needing a place to sleep and are a hard sleeper then it's good for the price. « less

Their breakfast was stale danish, watered down OJ and english muffins. They don't allow pets and any pet that peed in my room would made a improvement to the aroma of that dirty nasty hot mess. The Econo Lodge in Bossier City Louisiana is a decent place to stay on a budget. I like the Econo Lodge because of the large rooms. The Rooms run between $39.00 and $60.00 on an average night. The hotel itself is older and could use a LOT of updating. The rooms are not terrible and the bed is actually comfortable for the price. I have stayed in MANY MANY hotels and I would rate this as average. The front desk clerk was very nice an accommodating, but on the way to the room there were young people sitting outside on the sidewalks drinking and talking loudly. The pool area looks as if it came straight out of a 1970's movie. We stayed in a room with a small kitchenette which is perfect for short term stay.
OK, all in all I would suggest the Econo Lodge as a safe and inexpensive place to stay for a night or two. « less

My dad had some points to use up so me and hubby decided we'd use them the night before he had to be at the hospital early for surgery. The Ecno Lodge site said it was next to Barksdale-never thought about being around all the planes so I considered that my own fault for not paying attention. But we were right next to a train track which the site of course did not mentioin. At 3am I thought a tornado was coming for us! The room was clean and no smell but the bathroom door was broken and I'm not one for showering in the wide open. There were maintenence orders left on out desk which was very unprofessional. The staff I met was ok but nothing special. Even for a free room-it wasn't worth it. « less
