Rooms have water damage, cracked tile, dirty and smelly. Old broken furniture in hallway. Windows needs to be replaced. Hotel needs to be remodeled. AC didn't work well. Towel had hair on them. Worse hotel we ever stayed in. I took a walk in the morning with my mother we were startled by a homeless man going pee in the alley. No ice machine and the vending machine didn't work. The staff was very nice. The parking was a tight fit. NOT HAPPY!!! « less

If security is on your list, avoid this one. No deadbolts, no peepholes, first floor room window came out in my hands when I tried to open it. Room does not have coffee makers as advertised...or clocks for that matter. 1980's TV also did not work. If you are looking for a great value, and really don't care about your room...this place works. « less

The room was ok, it was clean for us despite the nasty reviews. We arrived very early at 8am and asked if we could shower before checking in (cause we took a night coach from San Francisco). The friendly staff allowed us to use one of the rooms that the guest had left but not yet tidied up (if we don't mind), so they are easy people. Location is great, just right behind Walk of Fame and there is wifi available even though it is not fantastic. Breakfast is average and more than what I expected since we are not paying a high fee for the stay. « less

The room was pleasant, everything worked well and was clean. Not like a new Best Western or Holiday Inn - but totally acceptable - especially given the price and location. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. « less
