In this city where hotel prices continue to shoot through the roof, the Courtyard, which is still no bargain, offers nice comfort in a well run hotel at a more reasonable cost. The rooms are very nice and well appointed and breakfast is very well done with the only thing missing is decent coffee. Added to the attractiveness of the hotel is its being attached to Times Square which is a very good shopping mall with great selection of stores and eateries. In cold weather, this is a real plus! Nearby also is a great food street with the usual selection of Korean local restaurants and numerous pubs and other night spots. Getting to and from the airport to the hotel is the only negative since their is no direct bus service but rather one which must make a stop at the domestic airport and numerous street stops on the way. During rush hour, it can take forever in either direction. At least 1 or 2 direct buses a day morning and evening would be a great improvement. « less

Stayed at the Marriott on a recent business trips, far exceeds the quality of the typical courtyard hotel. Rooms are decent size, comfortable beds, clean and airy. We only ate the breakfast so cannot comment on the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station and has plenty of taxis outside. There is a large mall next doors with a large selection of shops and eateries. Taxis tend to be fairly cheap in Seoul, particularly if there are a couple of you or more. Excellent gym facilities too! « less

Besides having a shopping mall located at the basement of the hotel, there's also a lot of eateries and pubs nearby. The journey from hotel to Incheon airport took me about 70 mins via Limousine Bus(9000 won). The staff are polite and they speak good English. Do join their member in order to enjoy free wifi access. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. Bed was really comfortable too and only some standard rooms will come with a bathtub. I was lucky to get a Twin Bed room with tub! :) Definitely a classic stay with Marriott. I wish to come back again.~ « less

Took the 6008 bus from Seoul international airport ($9000 won) and arrived around 70mins later. Note that you have to watch out your own stop, it is the 2nd stop to the last. The Koreans on the bus talk very loud, they do announce the next stop in Korean then English, you have to push the bus bell to get off. After getting off at the bus stop, there is a big sign pointed the direction. The name of the stop is Courtyard Marriott - Times Sq, then make a right and walk around corner and you will find lobby staff. Hotel has nice decor and feels very model, all the staff are very nice. Had dinner at the restaurant (Momo cafe), the waitress was extremely helpful. My dinner was abou $50 UDS, she insisted that i charge it to my room so i can get a 50% off discount. Thus, i paid $25 for my dinner. Food was yummy! Concerige helped us book tours and restaurant reservation, very helpful. Free wifi. One negative review though: the room was very warm and turning the AC onto the lowest temp does nothing. I call the front desk and was told to open the window and they only have power for AC from 9am-6pm!!!!! There is nothing they can do about it. Seoul city in general has heavy smog, with no other choice, we opened up window to sleep at night. Breakfast is average, we had bf at the executive lounge. « less

Before I get started, FYI to all residence of USA don’t be afraid of traveling to Seoul because I had an awesome time and forgotten about the threats from North Korea since I stepped foot to Seoul. Seoul is amazing therefore for all the rumors of being threaten is false and silly.
Definitely hands down the best Courtyard yet. Approximately an hour away train ride from Incheon International Airport, however don’t worry about the distance because the attractions are far away from the airport. If I were to come back I would choose Gimpo International airport instead because it’s a bit closer. I chose to take the train because it’s less expensive rather than to take a cab. Cab fee cost about 60 to 70 dollars compare to few bucks. Well keep in mind I’m able to carry my own heavy luggage taking the stairs when necessary. You simply stop at Yeongdeungpo station and the best way to enter without getting lost is by entering through the underground shops because there are signs that will lead you to the hotel. Quick tip, about the transit memorize line numbers and colors to get around smoothly.
The location of the property is very convenient it’s near Yeongdeungpo station, many authentic restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Everything you could possibly need can definitely be found within the area. Also, I forgot to include few restaurants and convenient stores are open 24 hours. In addition, few stop away from other major attractions. The staffs are all great from bell service, front office and housekeepers where there to assist you with pleasure. Min as I recalled who checked us in provided us with exquisite service. Also, there was no language barrier they can communicate English very well. As a small critique, it wouldn’t hurt to say hi or get recognize when passing by the lobby when you’re the only guest around.
The lobby and room are very well decorated it’s above average comparing to other Courtyard Marriott. The bed is very comfortable and I normally don’t sleep well except for my own bed but their bed is just the best. I stayed at the 12th floor which was high enough to see a great view. My only concerns about the room are the shower cover and the sink faucet. It was a bit of challenge to take a shower when the tub is half covered. I think the tub it’s designed to take a bath only not to shower. I personally take showers not bath. Lastly, the faucet is a bit near the sink whereas water will splatter the counter if you’re not careful.
As a whole, I love this hotel from the location, service and ambiance. We’ll definitely stay here again!!! « less
