My family and I reserved three rooms because the reviews were favorable. The early morning staff was very accommodating and we were all excited to have arrived. We opened the rooms to the overwhelming stale cigarette smell. One of the three rooms had half used soaps and dirty towels. We called the front desk with the phone from a different room because the phone didn't work. The replacement room was no better, there were two dead cockroaches and a live one in the toilet room. The staff were very apologetic but the rooms were gross even before the lack of cleaning and cockroaches. I had reserved three rooms with king size beds and a refrigerator in two of them since we were traveling with two small children. Very disappointed ! « less

I have been a fan of Knights Inn for many years, including when it was the Quarterpath Inn. This inn works very hard for you -- and over the years since I've known it has added a 24/7 coffee bar, upgraded the rooms, and now offers a light breakfast. Very friendly, very clean. « less

My wife and I and our pet dog(s) have been staying at the Knights Inn (formerly the Quarterpath Inn for over 25 years. It is a 'pet friendly' establishment, and the front desk staff and cleaning service staff know us and our pet by name. It's like home away from home. We stay there at least twice a year when we visit the 'Historic Triangle' of Williamsburg, Yorktowne and Jamestown. The Inn is within a beautiful walk to the House of Burgess end of Williamsburg. Clean accomodations, breakfast and order out discounts, nice 'coffee clutch', and nice outdoor pool area. Across the street we always enjoy fine dining at the Yorkshire Restaurant. My wife and I are members of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and the Goodwin Society, and we would not think of staying anywhere else when visiting the Busch Garden, Historical Triangle area. It's just a short distance from many other Historical areas in Virginia also. Thank you Doug Pons (owner/manager) and staff for always making us feel at home and being such a major part of our vacation experience year after year. « less

My wife stayed at the Knights Inn Oct. 18th to 21st, 2012. It was pretty much the same as the last 25 or so times we have stayed there. In all those times, we have never seen roaches, bugs or any of the other critters that people complain about. This motel provides travelers with a place to stay in a clean, safe environment without costing an arm and a leg. Yes, it is dated and doesn't have all the whisles and bells that the $150 places have but it has a friendly staff, a great pool and is close to the restored area. the train can cause some distraction if you let those things bother you, but it has never caused us to loose sleep. It could use a little up dating but don't let that keep you from giving it a chance. Bottom line, it's cheap and makes the otherwise expensive area affordable, so enjoy and spend the money you saved on something that you wouldn't normally buy.......... Enjoy life is short and don't sweat the small stuff......... « less
