Built in 1834, the two landmark townhouses have been meticulously transformed to recreate a bygone era of gracious living while offering personalized service and amenities required by today’s discriminating traveler. The Inn at Irving Place’s 12 guestrooms and Junior Suites are furnished with exquisite antiques reminiscent of the New York of Edith Wharton. Yet all of the modern comforts, from remote climate control to teleport Internet access, are available. Each of the Junior Suites has a luxurious sitting room that recreates the elegance of the last century. In keeping with the dignified atmosphere, guests can enjoy breakfast in bed or dine in the Tea Salon.
