I stayed with Leger holidays part of a battlefields tour of Arnhem. Upon arrival I found one window in the room to be slightly open (I felt a draft). Also, I was disappointed there was no safe in the room and no soap in bathroom provided. The shower was an usual design, the shower gel and shampoo were located on the opposite wall and I found half the bathroom floor to be soaking wet afterwards trying reach the dispensers. Still, the food I had the hotel for one night was good but expensive. Overall I was disappointed with my room as it didn't really feel like a 4 star hotel. « less

I travel extensively for business first off so its said. If I was on vacation this hotel would have gotten a poor to average hotel rating.
The Feel and look of the hotel is that of a remodeled Motel 6/Days Inn. 2 levels with no elevator and long hallways. On asking the front desk for the number for a pizza delivery they informed me that out side food is not allowed.
Going to the bar to get 2 beers to take back to the room I put the charge on the room and received a call a few moments later stating that I am not able to charge to my room. I went to the front desk to put an incidental card down and was informed that I am not allowed to do that and have to pay for everything separately. The first hotel I have ever stayed at that had to do that.
The hotel lacks customer service or any accommodating behavior for that matter. It was not convenient for them to run one bill at check out, so I have put that inconvenience on myself.
Location is at an interstate onramp, intersection with not much around. A gas station and a Co-op were all that I could find.
The room however seems clean. It is on the smaller side with 2 twin beds.
Just a terrible rating for the customer service. « less

I used to stay at the tulip years ago and decided to stay there recently while on business. What struck me as I arrived was that it had not changed .... not at all. When I went into the bar and restaurant, it was exactly the same as years ago, even down to the ceiling paper not quite covering the entire ceiling.
The restaurant itself doesn't really match with the rest of the hotel when it comes to the food though. The menu is upmarket with things like Quail, pheasant partridge and so on which is fine if you have a taste for game but there was no chicken or steak (unless you include venison). I had the sole and I have to say it was beautifully presented and cooked (although I thought that having it served with vegetables, potatoes ... and cold stewed apple was a little strange).
The room I had was small. It had been refurbished, but with poor quality fittings, and the bathroom was tiny. As I entered the bathroom, the door touched the front of the toilet, and I had to almost walk into the shower (no bath) in order to get to the loo. I haven't stayed in a hotel for a long time that didn't have shampoo and soap provided, so I was surprised to find neither.
On the other hand there was unlimited free Wifi with good speed. « less

Agree with most other reviews in that is a very unspectacular place to stay, but reasonably priced and easy access to HV park. A 15 min walk towards velp main road (pretty sure this isn't its actual name!) does provide some very nice bars and restaurants if you research where you are going first. Parking was easy, location was fine for highway and 'lake view' was...well it was a lake and you could see it from the room, but you could also see the highway just as prominently so probably not worth paying extra for this. « less
