The Holiday Inn Express Seaford-Route 13 Hotel is an interior corridor, four story hotel with a fireplace in the lobby.
Located on Williams Pond, rooms on the back side of the hotel offer spectacular views of wildlife ranging from Geese, Birds, Turtles and Fish. Features include an outdoor pool, exercise room, and business center. All rooms include coffee maker, iron/board, and hairdryer. Voice mail and 2- line phones and wireless high speed internet. Coffee served 24 hours a day in the lobby. We serve fresh baked cookies/popcorn in the evenings.

Stayed here for a baseball tournament and was horrified. Multiple families had complaints with different rooms. Rooms were filthy, food smudges and greasy hand prints on ALL furniture and headboards of beds . These things easily wiped off so it was apparent they were never cleaned. Hair on bathroom floor, toothpasted stuck on shower wall. Half of a used bar of soap still in shower meaning... gross it was never cleaned out. Ceiling covered with dust. Hall and room rugs had not been vacuumed and were disgusting. Garbage outside overflowing with trash on day of arrival and still 2 days later at check out. Worst of all.... air conditioner units in room appalling. Black debris stuck inside and dust and other debris clinging on vents. 2 children in the group developed coughs while stating in the rooms. Those air conditioners need to be thoroughly cleaned in every room as well as the main unit. That nasty build up of stuff in and on those air units is going to cause pneumonia. Also all hard floors in hotel were sticky and needed to be cleaned. One housekeeper had what appeared to be some kind of rash with open sore type lesions on her face and arms. Same women observed carring dirty towels and wash clothes from a dirty room with her bare hands and all the dirt items were wrapped in her exposed arms...... THAT IS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEANING..... Nasty. The ladies at the front were very nice but unfortunately that did not and could not make up for the fact that the hotel was literally disgusting from top to bottom. We were moved to a different room which as actually worse in terms of filth and there we live bugs coming in through cracks around the window. Also two beer bottle caps on chair and someone's empty shoe box in closet. Every inch of this place should be scrubbed or it should be closed down. « less

When traveling my most important requirement is cleanliness. Often you can judge a hotel by the outside or stopping in to the front desk and having a look at the surroundings in the lobby area. I was traveling with a group and we only had a couple of days in Seaford. This Holiday Inn met my expectations and I was very pleased. The staff were very friendly and helpful ! I would definitely go back to this hotel when we pass through again. We are from lower Virginia and travel north often. The staff told me about various events in the area during the year. The Nanticoke River Fest looks like something the children would really enjoy. We are thinking of going back to Seaford in July and would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express again. I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled to write after 2 different stays at the Holiday Inn in Seaford, Delaware. The hotel is very clean and maintained well. Althought the breakfast is a typical Holiday Inn breakfast, it provides enough nourishment to get by. The thing that made the experience memorable is definitely the staff! We were greated by Angela at the front desk when we arrived. She is professional, knowledgeable of the area and an overall good ambassador for both Seaford and for the Holiday Inn. She went our of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Thank You Angela for an exceptional experience! « less
