My husband and I stayed here on our way home from our honeymoon. Great value and location. Room clean and staff friendly. Comfortable place away from home. We stayed in room 97 and the beds were comfortable. Free breakfast with cereals, bagels, fruit and waffles, coffee and juice in a roomy and clean setting. « less

My grandkids and I were exhausted after a long road trip and wanted to just get out of the RV for a while and stretch out and relax. We had made some calls to find a pet-friendly hotel and, even though we ended up arriving at the wrong hotel, they honored what we had been quoted by the hotel we called by phone. It was nothing fancy or elegant, but the price was tough to beat for someone who travels full-time with two hound dogs! It would be hard to find a friendlier hotel staff than the one at Quality Inn in Ashland, VA. A lot of hotels will not allow you to park your motorhome in their lot when staying with them, but it was not problem at all at this one. The hot breakfast bar was a nice added treat... really nice... and the lady tending the breakfast bar followed the hotel's pattern of being as sweet and kind and warm and wonderful as humanly possible. It was quiet and we rested well. There was a Perkin's restaurant on site which was a nice added treat. The rooms and their decor are older, but clean. We were able to drive a very short distance to Walmart, a laundromat, and several other stops we needed to make, plus the hotel was right off ofI-95. We would definitely stay here again. « less

The rooms are starting to show their age and are due for a bit of a face lift. The dripping bathroom tap had to be silenced with a face cloth. The locks on the external security doors don't lock. Viewable TV reception was limited to lower channels due to severe interference at the higher ones. Although a hot breakfast was advertised, the only hot items were the sausages and coffee.
On the other hand, it was clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced.
Finally, this being my 2nd stay I expected to hear from Choice Hotels about the free night I'm supposed to receive after staying twice at their hotels. It has been over a month since we qualified. « less
