I asked the reception for severel items and I just got unhelpful responses. One was a couple of extra pillows which they didn't have. We had a light hanging off the wall in the bedroom and a broken sink in the bathroom too.
There is NO safe to lock away valuables either. This hotel is in a great location and close to some great restaurants but I don't think I would stay here again unless I was desperate for a good location at a cheap price. « less
This hotel is only a stones throw away from the Gare de Norde main train station. So it is noisy but very well connected transport wise. The staff were helpful....

The asthetics are rather dated, and at breakfast there is not enough tables/seats for the guests to all sit down together but apart from that an ideal hotel which I would recommend and at a reasonably cost. « less

This hotel is cheaply priced for Paris and the facilities reflect this. Yes the decor looks tiered but for the price I can deal with that. The location is brilliant, less than 100 meters to the main euro star terminal but this has a compromise that you experience the hustle and bustle of many buses and taxi's that service it. I has a twin room that fronted the road and although the windows are double glazed I preferred to sleep with ear plugs (I live in a quiet cul-de-sac at home) as I found it hard to drift off. I was here for 3 nights and on the last night I was used to muffled drone of the vehicles outside. If your planning a romantic city break this might not be the hotel for you but as a well placed bed to rest your head this place was great. As some have already said in the past from reading other review the hotel does have a lift but its out of action. « less

Good location and friendly staff... Was allocated room on the 5th floor... And lifts weren't working few hours in the day... I was ok as i dint have heavy luggage...

I went to Paris to attend a film Festival my film was officially selected for. I booked the Paris Liege hotel quite a while before, since it was Easter weekend. The Hotel was rated on internet 3 stars, very closed to the Gare du Nord (eurostar arrivals) it looked clean and quite nicely furnished, breakfast was booked for some euros more. When we arrived we realised that the only true thing about it, it was its position: right opposite the Gare du Nord. Apart from that: it was rated 2 stars on the door and to be honest even that it was way too much. It's noisy, decadent, filthy and the shower curtain (yes, no sliding doors for us!) had a brawn stain at the bottom. As if it wasn't enough, the room curtains were too short to actually block the light from coming into the room, or even to stop the people in the opposite building to take a look inside. On our first morning we went down to have breakfast to be told that 'breakfast (that we've paid for) wasn't going to be served!. No apologies whatsoever and when I mentioned that it was an already paid service, the answer it was: 'The breakfast lady didn't come, I'm on my own, what am I supposed to do?? and ' if you want your breakfast money back speak to my collegue...he's not here at the moment, but he'll might be later at night'...later at night? As if my main aim on a business Eastar weekend was to look for "his collegue" maybe around for the night shift. On Easter sunday nobody came to clean or tidy the room...but around 4 pm (after their Easter lunch I guess!) a lady came banging at the door (of course we were napping and were waken up by then!) to ask if we wanted the room to be "done"...which we gently declined at that time. So basically the room was cleaned once in 3 days. Stay away from this awful place, trust me! For 80 pounds a day it's a nightmare, very central, but still an absolute nightmare...The only good thing? Feeling happy to be back to our bath and our bed...how sad is that?
