We stayed here for a night before going on a cruise, the good part was the shuttle picked us up and dropped us off. The room was clean... had only 2 towels for 4 people... asked them for 4 towels and got 3! The courtyard is messy, no-one goes out there to clean up, beer cans and goodness knows what else laying around on the table. The pool was full of debris, it didn't help there were a few kids out there till 11.30pm that were throwing stones in the water and generally being a pain in the rear. I stayed in a Courtyard in Boulder CO last month and they had coffee and tea free of charge out in the reception area all day. This one had nothing you couldn't even buy a cup of coffee until 7.30am. There is a mall across the street which has a ton of stores and restaurants. « less

Ok. When I told the front desk about the fridge being filled with half used containers of juice, they weren't happy, but took nor offered zero action. When I asked for extra towels we wanted that instant, they made us wait ten minutes and sent someone to our room (we were mid-bathing our baby boy).
We also fed our son breakfast in our bed (which was a messy mistake), but we were ok because housekeeping knocked 5 min later as we walked out. Sure enough they made our bed real nicely- without new sheets- crumbs awaited us after a long day.
Wifi was free- a nice but expected plus. Rooms are tinier than Hampton Inn- very small.
Walls must be thick- baby cried a lot and no complaints. Another good one- air conditioner works great and didn't see any bugs.
Would not recommend to anyone. I expected better service. « less

This property has a location very convenient to transportation hubs (595, Fla. Turnpike, I-95, Sawgrass Expwy., FLL Airport) that makes access easy and fast (within reason with the construction at 595 & Turnpike). As mentioned, many nearby shopping and dining venues. When arriving be on the lookout as apparently local signage regs tend to keep the hotel signs somewhat modest -- it's on the South side of 6th street.
It overall meets the standards of the Courtyard brand, the renovated lobby and "Bistro" dining area is still fresh, the grounds within the property are well kept, the inner courtyard (hey, a Courtyard with a courtyard...) looked pleasant enough in good weather and the immediate surrounding area was relatively quiet. The room was well equipped and comfortable though not fancy, very small balcony with a screen door that was off its rails -- but then again I did not bother unlocking the balcony door and stepping out so it did not affect me. Sound isolation from the inside is not the best and activity in the hallway could affect a light sleeper.
General layout and the wear on some elements such as elevators tend to remind you that not everything has been renovated at once, nor given the greatest and latest, but this is a very functional hotel and for the price provides a satisfactory stay, I could recommend it. « less

I stayed here for two nights one before and one after a trip to Mexico. They had everything we needed! I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone on a layover for flights or cruises. Their shuttle will pick you up at the airport and drop you back off at the airport or the cruise port - which was where many of the people we met there were going.
The hotel has a nice little business center with two desktop computers, and a seperate computer to print out bording passes, which was a nice suprise!
Also the staff here is very friendly, and they even saved some books I left on their shuttle bus. Great customer service!
Some tips for staying here would be that the shuttle only runs until 7pm, I would recommend verifying, but that is the time I remember. So if you have a late flight you will need to take a cab. Also on the weekends you can get cheap rental cars for the same price of a cab. I was able to get a rental for 35.00 a day from Dollar booking through Expedia last minute. We went to the see the alligator show the next day before our flight, that was a cool way to kill a couple hours, and could not have done that if we did not rent the car. But on our arrival flight we got there early enough to take the shuttle from the airport and back out the following day, and not need to spend the money and hassle on a rental car.
Also the rooms are a little on the older side, and this is def not a Resort, but there is some stuff to do around the area. There is a mall across the street, and a Dollar store to pick up any last minute items. So I would def recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a nice, clean place to stay on a layover in Lauderdale! « less

Management response from Patrick Davidson, General Manager
Your feedback is very much appreciated from your most recent stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Plantation. We are happy to see you enjoyed your stay, and do apologize about the tardiness of the shuttle as there are always unforeseen traffic/weather issues. The team here at the Courtyard by Marriott Plantation works hard to keep the shuttle on schedule.

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"My team and I had a great stay at the Marriot Norcross last week. I was unable to meet up with Ms Vanita and unable to passed her a box of Godiva Chocolates I bought for her. We will not even bother to seek other hotel-planning-organization after we have used your great service. You can even quote me on this. Meanwhile, we have to make 2 trips to the states every year from now onwards and will definitely use your services. Once again, thank you for making our trip a success." O.S. - Atlanta, GA
"I was amazed and pleasantly surprised how effortless the process was. Very pleased to have found a way to reserve rooms for our team when we travel, which of usually twice a month. Thanks so much." L.S. - Amherst, NY
