Hotel is located in outskirts of NYC and about 15 mins drive from JFK airport. There is a train station in 300 m, and the train takes you directly to subway and Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn, or to Penn Station in Manhattan with one transfer at Jamaica. The property has parking and wifi. They also offer basic breakfast, pretty standard. The staff at reception are nice and helpful. We had a non-smoking room, but it clearly was not. First morning we had shampoo and used 10% from a little bottle, the 2nd day that shampoo was gone and substituted with lotion - how do we suppose to wash hair with it? Basic accommodation, could be used to stay on budget for couple of days. Rooms had refrigerators but did not have coffee/tea makers. « less

The check in staff was helpful with directions. very kind & pleasant. Hard donuts & milk sitting out over an hour should have been sitting on ice at the very least. « less

This hotel is not worth what i paid for it, the staff were rude and you can hardly understand what they say to you. The first thing that says hello to you when you arrived is the horrible like Indian food or soup i cant even described it, the floor looks like it needs to be clean and if im not mistaken i noticed people from the area comes and goes like if they just shortly stayed there for other purposes if you understand what im trying to described. Once my wife, baby and myself entered our room OMG!!! very small room, the smell of the sheets plus the little holes on the sheets were disgusting, the smell of nicotine was horrible i felt like i brought my child to a bar or something similar, we try to get a none smoking room, but the manager said that was the only one available, unfortunately the hotel was already paid thru HOTWIRE(Will not use them again) i trusted they will picked a better hotel. Last but not least the horrible sounds every 10 minutes of The LONG ISLAND EXPRESS TRAIN will not allow you to sleep and you will wake up restless. In other words pay a little more a get a better hotel, this one is not worth it. Trust me people its TERRIBLE!!! « less

We weren't planning on staying the night in the NYC area but found ourselves roaming around Manhattan quite late and just needed to find a room to get some sleep. So we got this room on hotwire and what a mistake. We should have just spent the extra money on a better hotel in the city. This place is convenient, I suppose, if you're planning to do something in the middle of Long Island. Not so much if you are in the area to do the typical NYC things. Was about a 45 minute drive from Manhattan. The room was overly hot and the A/C didn't really do anything but blow stale air around the tiny room. Floors were unlevel, which wasn't a big deal, but that and the dumpsters and construction trash blocking the window further enhanced the feeling that we were staying in a dump. Was traveling with friends and the single double bed in the room(requested a cot - they were an extra 15$ and then turned out that there weren't any available anyway), combined with the stale damp air made for a horrible night sleep. I wouldn't normally complain about this stuff, or give a poor rating, but we paid over $160 for one night and it was so not worth it. I guess the one positive was that the internet was complimentary and had a strong consistent signal.
Lesson learned, will book a higher star rating in the city next time. « less
