Hotel was easy to find and it was within a short distance from downtown and other attractions. The girl at the front desk when we checked in went above and beyond the norm by making a recommendation for a place to eat, calling to see if they were open and telling the restaurant that we would be arriving in about 10 minutes. Our room was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to control the temperature. We ate at the breakfast buffet both mornings and were impressed by the choices (bacon, sausage, hash browns, 2 kinds of eggs, cereal, toast/bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc) Our waitress the first morning was fabulous - she kept our drinks filled and plates cleared. The pool is very large and the indoor atrium had lots of space to relax if you wanted to get out of your room. Housekeepers were pleasant. Would not hesitate to stay there again. « less

Very nice place. The first room we were given was not ready so we were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost. Did not use the pool or hot tub but they looked very inviting. Very clean. Parking was close to entrances although the layout was a little confusing. The map supplied by the front desk was very helpful. The restaurant on site was very good and the breakfast bar had a nice variety. Definitely would stay there again. « less

I live in Evansville, so I don't stay at this motel. However, my Wife and her friends have been doing lunch there. I finally got to go with her and what a surprise. They serve a soup and salad lunch buffet Mon-Fri. At first I thought that I may walk away hungry. Wrong! They had 6 different homemade soups. EVERYTHING you could imagine on a salad bar and more! Desserts are included as are non alcoholic drinks. What a great place to take clients. Nice modern clean dining area. « less

Staying at a hotel that hosts a convention is very convenient for business traveling. The Clarion Inn is an older hotel with some updating. However, the interior where the convention portion was held, was a bit outdated and needs some maintenance, yet functioned for purpose. The hotel staff was pleasant, the room comfortable and clean.
The restaurant served good food, better than expected, and at reasonable prices. The chef even makes fresh pesto and other items from scratch that is served. The breakfast and lunch buffet are generous in portion and selection.
The only downside to the hotel were the doors to all the rooms 'slammed' shut. There was no easing close. If one didn't gently guide the door - it slammed. We heard slamming doors up and down the hall all night. We did inform the desk staff when leaving and they thanked us, being unaware of the problem. « less

This is the second time I've stayed here and I would gladly stay here again. There is ample parking and the parking is well lit and there are lot of parking spots close to different entry doors so you shouldn't have a long walk in poor weather or in the dark to get in. The front desk staff has always been polite and friendly. I love that the wireless Internet access is free here and our room came with vouchers for a free breakfast downstairs. The rooms were very clean and organized and included a fridge and microwave. The flatscreen TVs in the room swivel and are easy to see from either bed. The bathroom portion for shower and toilet area is quite small and the toilet portion is not much wider than my shoulders and the shower head is low compared to a residential shower. However, everything was quite clean and worked well. The beds were not quite five star for me. I found them to be harder than I like and the material made me hot when I was sleeping but it was still acceptable. The pool area is more than what you will find in most hotels and it has a large banquet area close by. This pool is nice, as you can see by the pictures for the hotel, and would be good for families. The gym area has a small amount of weights, nothing for sufficient for the serious lifter but better than nothing. The cardio equipment is among the best I've seen in any hotel and each piece of equipment has its own television to help fight the hamster wheel boredom. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for pretty much any type of travel into the area. « less
