We had trouble sleeping due to the noise - above us it sounded like the room was being remodeled with furniture being pulled back and forth (but this was at 3 a.m.!) and also in the hall there were severl loud groups between 2 and 3 a.m. (mid-week, not weekend) At first glance the room looked clean, but the longer we were in it, the more we saw that it needed both a deep cleaning and some repair work. (Show curtain rod was about to fall off, etc.) We don't mind older motels, but a little maintenance and cleaning would go a long way on this one. « less

The first room we stayed in had a crack in the bottom of the tub and missing smoke alarm. They were real helpful to allow us to move to a better room the next day. When we moved rooms we left a flashlight in the first room and we never got it back from the staff. The whole place smells bad when you walk in. It seemed that the whole staff does not pay attention to details. Several times I had to ask them to refill the orange juice for breakfast. The breakfast needs attention. We had stayed there two years ago and felt it was ok. Today I wouldn't go back. The Manager Amit Bhakata needs to update the whole place. « less

I would like to thank you for choosing the Howard Johnson Inn Near Fort Riley during your stay in Junction City, KS. I love that you enjoyed our pool which we always try to keep at that nice warm level, I know our hotel is old but we try to renovate as we go and thats why we love to see suggestions from our guests in what they would like to see. As of now at the hotel we have started painting our rooms and have completed about 10 rooms now and have changed furniture in all of our downstairs rooms. I would like you to ask for our newly renovated room next time you are in town. We always love the feedback from our guests as they are the ones to see things first hand and we at the Howard Johnson always try to make sure our guests have a great stay while they are at the hotel.

I would like to say thank you for staying at the Howard Johnson near Fort Riley while your visit in Junction City, KS. I see that you experience some problems during your stay and I would like to apologize about the black mold near the toilet and receptacle being broken. We did actually have the health department come inspect the property after your complaint and they inspected our rooms and I had notified her as well that as soon as we see issues we resolve them immediatly, we did repaint the entire bathroom and she inspected it and saw no mold after that. she inspected on March 5th 2013. I would like you to come and try us out once more and we assure you, that your stay will be wonderful.
