You get what you pay for. This is a motel situated in downtown Memphis, it is extremely handy for access to Beale street and all that downtown Memphis has to offer. The lady on reception was helpful and pleasant. There is no dining room just some pastries and coffee in reception for breakfast so we went to Dennys just up the street. « less

2nd time staying here and wonder how place stays in business. got there apr 15 around 1 pm and maybe 1 car in parking lot. went inside to the unprofessional front desk girl to check in. she asked if we want upstairs or downstairs (no elevator, this is just a "motel", not really a "hotel"). told her we'd take a downstairs and asked her whats the chance we'd have someone above us, a logical question i thought. her answer was she couldn't guarantee anyone would not be above me. what? they have no idea how many reservations they'd be having that day? is the place gonna fill up? theres 1 car in the lot! dumb answer lady! in my 2 day nite stay there, think there was maybe 4 other cars and no one above us . ok lets get to the room- lousy pillows, only a couple of towels, toilet had a water leak where it sits on the floor, no tissues or tissue holders, no bathroom space, always felt cramped, a poool is advertised, looks like no ones been in there in years(don't think anyone would) hair dryer didn't work. the good things? walking distance to beale, although its kinda creepy around there, reasonably priced, free ez parking in front of your room (motel style). free breakfast is a joke by the way, forgot that one. not sure if i'd stay here again, might spring for double the $ and stay somewhere nicer and again walking to beale. « less

Stayed at the motel for 3 nights to use primarily as a base between visiting Beale St and other sites.
Location-wise this was perfect. I couldn't find any other motels at this price that were this close to the action. There are plenty of more upmarket hotels nearby but if anything they are in noisier areas and you are looking at perhaps double the price. You can walk to Beale St in a few minutes, we went to an NBA game at the FedEx Forum which is even closer. The motel is a couple of blocks away and therefore quiet. 10 minute drive to Graceland, 3 minutes to Sun Studio.
The room was comfy, with plenty of storage space. We had an issue with the bathroom on the first day as the water was not draining from the bathtub but this was resolved before we returned to the room for the first time. The motel was quiet too, even when it was much busier on the Saturday night.
Free parking is also a great benefit as other accommodation in the area charges for car spaces.
The woman at the reception was very helpful with my queries. Perfect base for a few days in Memphis. Would definitely stay again. « less

This small motel style hotel is absolutely perfect for downtown. It's actually very quiet, and the beds/bathrooms are spotless. Beale street is just a few blocks over and walking back is completely fine. The reception girl was helpful and friendly. Better than expected; if you don't need full hotel style services in Memphis this place is absolutely perfect. Breakfast is pastries and yoghurt which is not my gig but the coffee was good. « less

I was hesitant to book this motel during our road trip to Memphis from some of the reviews I had read, but I'm so glad we stayed there as it was a good little motel in a great spot. Walking distance to Beale St, the room was clean and had a comfortable bed. It was relatively quiet compared to other motel style accommodation we've stayed in, staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend as a good value stay in Memphis. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Your company has been very useful in narrowing down hotel locations. I like the fact that you give the contact persons information and I'm not having to search for phone numbers to contact them." R.B. - Raleigh, NC
"Just wanted you to know that your site is the greatest. If I hadn't stumbled onto your web site I would not have been able to make as good a deal (which may have resulted in our having to cancel this trip to arrange for something more local). Thank you and your group so much!!! I will keep this web site handy for future use and also tell everyone about it." A.L. - Hershey, PA
