So I hear they have new housekeepers. they were really nice to me, I stayed here the other day and rented out a one bed bedroom. It was really neat and clean. I have stayed here a couple of times first time wasn't so good but this time was. Front desk was actually nice to me two thumbs up on that one. Though there breakfast could be better having more options of food and drink choices to choose from. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. I will remember the nice housekeepers they have though when I needed something from the cart like a cup or a trash bag she was really nice to me even though she was busy she stopped and helped me get what I needed. Great job housekeeping. Glad to see new faces working hard. Overall I had a better experience this time than last time. It seems to me the owner is caring alot more which I am happy to see. Thankyou for making this stay a positive one for me. « less

I would have probably been happier had the price been less. The front desk help was friendly and helped with weather conditions for travelling. « less

I am the last person to write a review, even when disgruntled-I just feel like spending the time to write takes even more away from my life than whatever it was I was disgruntled over, so I never do it. But, as I sit here, in this filth ridden room at 10:07 PM, I find that I am compelled to write and warn others if I can-DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
I've stayed in lots of different motels/hotels through the years, from rundown to five star, and am hardly picky. It's really about the memories for me and we came to spend time at Apple Hill. Once in our room, I made the mistake, or eye-opening revelation (depending on how you look at it), of grabbing the spare pillow on the shelf when I noticed a blood stain; yes, a brown, aged, blood stain, the size of a playing card that looked like it had seeped through several layers for years. I immediately took the pillow to the front desk knowing just how unsanitary and what a biohazard this was. I should've known what kind of response I would receive when I approached, b/c the manager/owner was picking his nose and I could see him through the window. I stood there and handed him the pillow, not even having words for my disgust. He took zero responsibility for it, blamed it on lazy housekeepers and handed me a new one. I asked how he was going to guarantee the new one was clean, not to mention he handed it to me w/ the same hand which was up his nose before I walked in, and God knows where else. He never offered a refund/credit, not even an apology. I'm not the type of person that expects things, but I did expect an apology. He proceeded to tell me that I was the type of customer that's never satisfied! Never satisfied? For one, I explained, you don't know anything about me. Two, I don't care if there's a layer of dust on all the furniture, if I see a cockroach or ant walk across the floor, as long as it's exiting, but BLOOD; BLOOD on a pillow is totally and completely unacceptable!!!!!!
Filth, total filth-please do not stay here if you value your health!!!!! « less

I needed a room with 2 beds for 2 people on Saturday night when I discovered that this was apple season and most inexpensive rooms in town were booked.
I looked this place up on the internet, then called to make a direct reservation. It is easy to miss the fact that they list single queen rooms first and separately from double queen rooms (so had I made the reservation on-line I would have done it incorrectly). The person taking the reservation did reasonably well in explaining this to me. So I booked.
We arrived at 5:30 to check in. The gentleman behind the desk was not talkative and particularly friendly, but neither was he surly or rude. We were offered a choice of rooms - ground floor near the road or second floor near the middle. We took the ground floor. It turned out not to be too noisy, although we did turn on the A/C fan (only) to provide some "white noise" overnight.
The room was OK with reasonable decor. There was an analog microwave and a small fridge that we did not use. I never check motel room coffee, so cannot comment on whether there even was any. The beds were a little stiff. The sheets seemed clean, but were a little thin and did not tuck well under the mattress so were loose when I rolled over in the night. Pillows were nice and fluffy. Bathroom towels were all thick and seemed relatively new. Sink and shower were clean. There was adequate hot water. Good TV and wi-fi.
All in all it was OK w/o any serious deficiencies. However, the room was $95. I would not have stayed there for that price had I felt like I had another option. (I had a better room including moderate breakfast for $20 less the night before in Roseville) « less
