Located in New Orleans old Creole quarter midway between JazzFest and the French Quarter on historic Esplanade Avenue, Le Chateau de Claudine bed and breakfast inn features 6 guest rooms with private bath as well as accommodations on the ground floor with shared bath. Bedrooms with private bath start from $150/night; rooms with shared bath begin at $69/night. Our accommodations are convenient to all major tourist attractions. The New Orleans Fair Grounds (home of the world famous Jazz & Heritage Festival), the French Quarters, critically acclaimed restaurants and music clubs are all within walking distance of our B&B. Guests are within a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the Morial Convention Center, the Garden District, the Superdome, the CBD (Central Business District), the Cruise Ship Terminal, historic above ground cemeteries, golf courses, the D-Day Museum, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Warehouse District, antique shopping on Magazine St, fine art shopping on Royal St, the Contemporary Art Center, the basketball Arena, Mardi Gras parades, historic trolley car rides, the New Orleans Museum of Art, Harrah's Casino, the UNO Arena, the Performing Arts Center and so much more. Stays at Le Chateau de Claudine bed and breakfast include use of our Parlor as well as our large, above-ground sundeck and our 1 city block deep lushly landscaped private grounds with a Siamese Lily pond. We provide a full gourmet breakfast, daily housekeeping service, concierge services and free, secured off-street parking. Our inn is especially popular for corporate retreats, group events, destination weddings, fundraisers, parties and family gatherings. When the needs of guests exceed the limitations of our inn, we gladly work with nearby inns and venues to make your stay even more enjoyable. Le Chateau de Claudine is a three story, antebellum home.; guest rooms are located on each of our three floors. Guestrooms located on the First Floor include the Victorian styled, hexagonal shaped Red Rose Room, the Peach Blossom (with private entrance to the sundeck) and the romantic Purple Wisteria Room. Rooms on the First Floor are unusually large and feature high 14' ceilings, four poster beds and a variety of beautiful architectural details like ceiling medallions, stained glass, fireplace mantels, polished hardwood floors and more. The Second Floor offers the contemporary styled Beige Satin Room with it's own, private, rooftop sundeck, the Yellow Sunflower and the Blue Belle with its window seat nooks looking out into the trees. The Ground Floor (formerly the servant's quarters) contains the Dandelion Room (our room with shared bath); ceilings on the Ground Floor are low.
