This was my 2nd time staying there. The rooms, pool and hot tub are clean. The staff is very nice. I enjoyed my stay both times and plan on coming back real soon. Did I stay you can't beat the price. I have stayed in many different hotel in Myrtle Beach over the last 7years and have payed double the money for less room space, cleanliness and view. I have to say that the Gazeboo Inn beat them out hands down. So don't judge a hotel by what it look like on the outside because what's in the inside that really counts. I'll be the first to admit I am a hotel snob-When I was looking for something reasonably priced, but yet clean, at the beach, I saw many great reviews for this place, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I am glad I did!! Julie is wonderful!! I felt welcome from the minute I walked in the door (which I was actually 2 hours early) She gave me a choice of rooms, let me know roofwork was being done. I found some plaster from the ceiling that had fallen due to the vibration, so she showed me 2 other rooms. I had room 1310, oceanfront. Gorgeous oceanview!! I initially had a slow drain in the bathroom sink, which she made sure was fixed promptly. The only minus was that I prefer a blanket to go w/the bedsheets and comforter. I had asked for one and she left one for me when I returned. So you may want to bring one with you, but if you forget, talk to Julie or "mom". She has law enforcement and military members in her family, which rang close to my heart as I am a 911 dispatcher and an army brat. She has pictures proudly displayed in the hallways. This is a quiet place, is close to everything but yet far enough away from the noise and tourist traps. The Skywheel is just 2 miles down the road. If you like Starbucks, there is one directly across from Breakers Resort which is about a 2 1/4 miles; it's a great way to get some exercise( I would jog there and walk along the beach on the way back). The temperatures were a little on the cool side this week with the exception of a couple of days, but I did not use the pool. If you are looking for top of the line upscale standards, look elsewhere. If you are looking for well priced, clean, comfortable, friendly "home feeling" accomodations, stay here. I can only hope it doesn't rain next weekend so I can return back for a few days before my vacation is officially over. Thank you Julie and "mom" for making my stay here enjoyable and relaxed!!! (there is no adjoining restaurant or fitness center, which is why it isn't rated) « less

I am one click away from booking this hotel, but decided against it based on the hotel managers/owners responses to negative feedback. It definitely scared me away. As a business owner I think it is unprofessional to handle negative feedback this way. As beautiful as the rooms look and the wonderful prices, I will not be booking my stay here. « less

Thank you for taking the time to let us know the reason why you choose not to stay with us. I always appreciate feedback, even if it is not positive in nature. We are a small family owned and operated property that caters to families, couples, and retired folks . A majority of our guests have stayed with us for many years and have done so because we offer clean rooms at a very low rate in a well managed environment. I am sorry that our "no nonsense" way of doing business offended you, however that is precisely why many of our guests stay with us time and time again. In fact they expect it. I regret that you were not comfortable booking with us, and I hope that you were able to find another property in the Myrtle Beach area that was able to better suit your needs and expectations.

First I want to thank Ms Julie for her kindness and hospitality during our 4 night stay at Gazebo Inn. As a family of five we are always on a strict budget and with recent events our budget was even tighter for spring break. From the time that I first called to talk with Julie at Gazebo Inn I knew they were family oriented.
Their family hotel is clean, quiet and convenient to all of the local hotspots....... as for me and my family we will definitely be back for spring break next year but for a full week instead of just a weekend!!
Their nonsmoking policy is strictly enforced and you can feel safe and secure as you settle down for the evening.
I truly appreciate Mr Joe coming to take care of any maintenance concerns we had while we were there.....our bathroom doorknob was loose but he came down as soon as I reported the concern.
I asked for extra pillows and they were brought to us immediately as well as an extra blanket. Courtesy was definitely what we received.
Again thank you Ms Julie...... our family will see you next year!!
A great little family hotel with budget friendly prices!! « less

Thank you so much for the great review guys! I remember you and your family well and I have to say that we certainly enjoyed having you here. Having nice folks like you as our guests make this business a fun one to be in and your appreciation for what we do and how we do it definitely makes the hard work and effort that we put into it well worth while. We appreciate your business and we are looking forward to your LONGER visit with us next spring! We can’t wait to see you at the beach~

I gave an excellent rating to Gazebo Inn because It was one of the best vacations our family has shared. We knew we didn't have a lot to spend on a hotel room but wanted to stretch our money to stay as long as possible, but still feel safe and clean. We wanted to be on the beach and have a balcony overlooking the beach. When were on vacation, we go a lot and usually don't spend much time in the room. This time, we stayed at the hotel more because of being able to just run down to the beach whenever....it was great. Pool and pool area wasn't huge but we opted for the ocean anyway. Location was good...right down from the busiest part of the beach. This is definitely an older hotel, but our room was nice and carpet and bedding clean. Service was good and found it too be a friendly place. We stayed in Room 1415-A on 4th floor. We stay July 16, 2012-July 19,2012 and it costs us $133.34 per night with tax....not too bad. Parking was a little tight but not a big problem. We love Myrtle Beach and would come back and stay here! « less

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience from last summer with other folks that might be considering a stay with us here at the Gazebo Inn. I am so happy that you and your family enjoyed our little hotel so much and that you plan to visit with us again the next time that you are in the Myrtle Beach area. I think that you will be happy with the improvements that we have made since your last visit to include the addition of rocking chairs on all of the ocean front balconies as well as a new fence for added privacy and security on the lower parking deck. We have also updated our WIFI system for improved service, and we have added more lounge chairs to the pool deck for our guests to enjoy. Repeat business is what this industry is all about, and we want you to know that we appreciate your business and that we are looking forward to seeing you and your family again on your next trip to the beach!
Regards, Julie
