Was staying in town for a concert at Williams Brice Stadium, so if you want to be close to there, this is only a 5 minute drive away. The free limo was a nice service. However, when checking in, there were 2 employees at the front desk, but it took them over 1 minute to finish their converstaion and even acknowledge us. Not overly friendly at all. When they handed us our room keys, they announced our room number so over guests could hear! The room was spacious, but very dirty. No kitchen towels or detergent in kitchen. Stove was so old it was comical. Phone in living room not even plugged in. This place is in serious need of a makeover! « less

Dead bugs under the sink- carpet not vacuumed, some old bottle cap on the bathroom floor, exposed outlets, exposed wiring in the laundry area. DISGUSTING « less

We stayed here April 16th to 18th April 2013 for Graduation at Fort Jackson. The Suite was very large two bed rooms & two baths. Kitchen, (if you are going to bake items bring a cookie sheet) other cooking needs are there. The Hilton it is not, but it was clean and very close to Fort Jackson gate 4 which is where you enter. We were a family and brought our solider back here after graduation before we left the next day for Fort Gordon, there are no cots that can be brought in, but you can bring a twin blow up or just put the sofa cushions and a few pillows down for the one night. The funiture is a little dated, but you do not spent much in the hotel anyway. For the money you could not beat this hotel with family suties. There was a washer & dryer in our room,( you need to bring soap powder) iron and ironing board in room. They offer a good breakfast each morning. Good place to eat is right down the street at Yesterdays, food was very good. « less

I booked my overnight stay at the Whitney Hotel through a Priceline.com bid and got the 2 bedroom suite at a very good price. We were in Columbia one night for a Carrie Underwood concert. The decor in the room was in great need of updating, but was clean and fairly comfortable. If I had paid full price it would have been a disappointment. The best thing was the complimentary limo service to the concert and the driver was kind enough to stay after hours to pick us up after the concert. « less
