Wedmore Place consists of 28 individually styled rooms, themed after European provinces and cities, in a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere. All rooms have a wood-burning fireplace and a careful selection of antiques and wall hangings which provide the ambiance of Olde World charm and elegance of the past. The interior cobble-stone courtyard boasts an intricate stone fountain imported from Spain. Guests may enjoy the Library shelved with classics old and new, the Spa and Fitness Room, as well as the King Alfred Conference rooms with large tables and high back leather chairs and fireplace. Outdoor facilities include swimming pool, patio and poolside dining, hot tubs, walking and biking trails, and canoes for use on the James River. Complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning in “The Cafe Provencal” or in guest rooms. Whether for business or pleasure, Wedmore Place is an elegant European alternative to nearby Colonial Williamsburg. Opened October 16, 2007.
