stayed here for three nights Pros: easy to find (thank the neon sign), 5 min drive to downtown portland, easy access to freeway, quiet, lots of parking, room was cleaned everyday and for people on a budget it is well priced at 55/night
Cons: green carpet felt dirty to step on w/ bare feet, bring som flip flops or something, bathroom is tiny, bed sheets although smelling freshly bleached had a few burn holes, pillows were dirty, bring your own, bed was okay.
Basically if you are looking for no frills, quiet, and don't mind crashing in a 2 star hotel because you'd rather spend your cash other things...this place is quite okay. Care takers are nice and friendly but don't expect a 5 star treatment. « less

Marilyn at desk very helpful, booked online got winter discount $51 incl. fees & taxes motel in upgrading part of Portland (Interstate Ave. with light rail.) Very clean room, very comfortable king bed non-smoking, great shower, Room 37 looked to be recently refurbished. Wife & I stayed here, close to Amtrak 8AM departure. Very satisfactory in all ways; would expect to pay at least 50% more. Block-and-a-half from EXCELLENT Japanese restaurant with Happy Hour food pricing, Miho Izakaya. Don't miss that! « less

How many more characters of filler does Trip Advisor want? Do they want me to write about the strange hairs in the shower? The weirdly unmatched light bulbs? Am I at 200 yet? « less

The sign alone is worth the price of admission. Funky throwback to pre-corporate, cookie cutter motels. Lady at desk very pleasant and friendly. Room clean, bed comfy. Microwave, small fridge, free wi-fi, good price. Sign being painted while there. Light rail outside no problem (if had more time would have taken a ride). Only "complaint" is little tight between bed and wall. Paul & Lin « less
