When I travel alone on my motorcycle I don't need much. Bed, shower and a/c. I've stayed in worse and paid more. If you are looking for cheap place and a shower this will do it. Probably wouldn't take my wife but as I said, I'm riding my motorcycle not buying real estate. I bike camp a lot. This is faster when riding cross country and I had my own crapper. « less

My husband and I were traveling through AL, dead tired and desperately needed sleep. We stopped here because this was the ONLY hotel we found in this place that allowed pets (we have 2 small poodle/pomeranian dogs CLEAN) I did not look at the room first as I usually do. We got to the door when the next door opened and an older man (approx 80) walked out followed by an OBVIOUS 20-30-yr-old hooker shoving a marshmallow in her mouth! My stomach immediately got sick! I walked into this horrible smelling room with huge cigarette burns/holes in both bed spreads and linens, wiring hanging out of the walls with no socket/light covers, mold all over the bath tub, filthy floors (I wouldn't even let my dogs walk on), blood and what appeared to be "poop" on the wall in the bathroom, cigarette burns on the toilet seat, etc. I thought I may vomit. I went back to the front and told this minimal-speaking english goof that I was appalled and demanded my money back! He hesitated and I told him he better give my money back or I would call the police and will certainly report this HUGE HEALTH/SAFETY HAZARD to the powers that be. He threw my money at me and we RACED out of there!! The state of Alabama should be ASHAMED that they allow this place to serve the public. Check the back rooms folks 114, 115 etc. if you want to be horrified! I would bet that there is a lot more than prostitution at this hotel. « less

This was the nastiest hotel ever-in every way. I am not a nick-picky person, and love a good deal, but this??? This was horrible. The floors were grimey, the bath tub had mold on the walls, the toilet wasn't clean,the beds are raggedy, and WORST ad most disgusting of all---the covers smelled awful!!! This was a disgrace. I can't believe these people are able to rent these rooms out! Part of the sink was rusted out. We were afraid to even touch anything-that's how bad it was. Ths is an honest review. Spend a few more bucks and GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! « less

DO NOT STAY HERE! I REPEAT. DO NOT STAY HERE! Me and my wife were staying the night for the Talladega race the next day. Upon arrival the non-english speaking front desk guy was on a personnal call that lasted 5-10 min. Trash was everywhere in and around the parking lot and strange "street people" were walking off the street and hanging in and around the rooms. The room was like walking into a crime scene/crack house! The floor had some mystery stains and the bed sheets looked like swiss cheese with all the burn holes in them. The walls,couch, and lamp shades all had brown stains, holes and phone numbers for a good time written on them. What shocked me the most was what appeared to be blood splatter on the wall behind the TV with one channel. NO JOKE! I'm an EMT so I've seen my share of blood. I demanded a refund for such conditions but the broken english speaking staff said no refund for you. We left right then and took the loss but found a great place 3 miles away from the hell we came from. I am very surprised the Gadsden government allows such places of filth and disgust to do business! We will never come through Gadsden ever again if these types of places are allowed to operate! My advice, pay a little more for a hotel , it will save you in the end! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HEALTH HAZARD!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone needs to shut this place down Health department/Police!!!! « less
