In a central island location on the cusp of the wet and dry sides of the island, the Banyan bed and breakfast usually is bathed in sunshine interspersed with occasional short cooling showers.
Surrounded by 2 acres of lush tropical trees and flowers the Banyan bed and breakfast sits in one of the most ideal climate zones on an island with one of the most perfect climates in the world.
Perfect for your group or family gathering there are a total of 11 rooms and suites with a number of spacious indoor and outdoor meeting areas, a 50ft. swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The studio is a separate 700 sq. ft. unit with high open ceilings and state of the art video and audio systems ideal for group presentations.
The historic plantation property is also known as the "Banyan Tree House" and was originally built in 1927 it contains four large bedroom/ suites each with their own entrance, private bathroom, 2 beds (a queen and a single bed) a kitchenette or easy access to the full kitchen. Besides the large restaurant quality kitchen there is also a dining room and spacious living room area that can also be used for group dining. The large enclosed lanai has been made into a game room.
There are 3 more cottages onsite with an extra four bedroom house close by. All of the cottages and rooms have their own entrances, private bathrooms; 2 beds, either 2 Queens or a queen and a single bed; a kitchenette or easy access to a full kitchen.
Ginger Cottage has recently been designed and renovated as a comfortable accommodation for guests requiring wheel chair accessible walkways and entrances. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 entrances separated by a generous kitchenette, Ginger Cottage is ideal for guests traveling with handicapped individuals. The private kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa etc.
The Hibiscus cottage has the largest room of all our cottages. Two queen size beds and a large couch. Besides having its own entry, a private bathroom and kitchenette, the hibiscus cottage also has a bathtub. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa etc.
Gardenia Cottage has a full kitchen including oven and a full size refrigerator and phone. The queen and full size beds sit in opposite corners of the large studio. The private bathroom in this cottage comes with a bathtub. Gardenia cottage has a front porch plus a backyard lanai.
Plumeria Cottage has a pleasant view of the Banyan tree and gardens. The private kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa etc. With a queen and single bed, private bath with bathtub, the Plumeria has one entrance close to the main entrance of the Plantation House and is considered the forth bedroom.
The Banyan Suite is in the Plantation House proper located in the most quiet, shady corner of the house. Resting nearly underneath the huge old banyan tree this suite has a private lanai and entrance, queen size and twin bed, kitchenette and private bathroom. The private kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa etc.
The Palm Suite of the Plantation House is in the southern side of the house with lots of sunshine. This suite has a private entrance, queen size and twin bed, access to the house kitchen, and a private bathroom.
The Bamboo suite has its own entry room, private bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette is in a separate room and includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa etc.

It is 11 miles to the Banyan Bed and Breakfast from Kahului Airport ( OGG ) Most visitors rent their own car, which is easy to recommend for a variety of reasons. Taxi rates are $3.50 per mile and just under $40 dollars to the Banyan Bed and Breakfast.
