The Inn at Harvard offers 111 elegant hotel rooms, all renovated and redecorated in 2006. The room renovations include classic décor blended with contemporary features, included wide-format flat panel televisions in every guestroom.
The well-appointed guestroom environment is filled with vibrant colors, rich cherry woods, classic almond toned walls, warm silken textures accented with black granite top furniture and sleek chrome lighting fixtures. Business travelers will appreciate additions like ergonomic chairs and two touchtone telephones with voicemail. Artwork hanging on the guestroom walls is commissioned from a well know local photographer, reflecting Harvard University’s architecture and landmarks, as well as local points of interest.
Featuring an intimate four-story glass enclosed atrium, beautifully designed by renowned architect Graham Gund, the Inn also offers a lavish Presidential Suite favored by dignitaries associated with the University. The suite overlooks Harvard Square and is perfect for hosting small client receptions and board meetings.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression. That's why The Inn at Harvard is the perfect place for your next business meeting, seminar, training session, or private banquet.
Our attention to detail can be recognized in our approach to each client. We specifically limit the number of events on any particular day to ensure personalized attention and customized service.
The Harvard Crimson Room can accommodate 30-80 people depending on the configuration of the room. Or perhaps you would prefer our stately Executive Boardroom that can accommodate up to 12 people. For larger groups such as wedding receptions or holiday parties, our semi-private Atrium can be the perfect venue when hosting groups up to 150.
No matter what your business or group may require The Inn at Harvard has the staff, the space, and the experience to make it a perfect success.

With the words "Inn" and "Harvard" both in the name of this hotel, I expected low-key elegance and top-notch luxury--especially for $310/night. What I got instead was a tired hotel that is living off its name. Yes, the staff were pleasant, but not overly helpful, and the public areas, on first glance, looked quite nice. However, it didn't take long to see that cleanliness and maintenance are not priorities at this place, with dust and cobwebs lurking around most every corner. The sleeping rooms (we had two--the first one being too noisy, so we switched) were no better than a suburban Holiday Inn except for finer draperies. The bathrooms were small and there was mold in the shower/bathtub of both rooms in which we stayed. The television was tiny, too, which is odd because it was nested on a large bureau that could have accommodated a much larger set. And the noise level between the rooms was obvious, even when our neighbors were having just normal conversations. And what's with no morning newspaper or coffee set-up in the lobby? $310...for what? Rumor has it that Harvard University is trying to buy this property and turn it into a first-year dorm. From what I can tell, the Inn at Harvard is already halfway there... « less

The Inn at Harvard is a very pleasant and charming hotel. It is an ideal choice for visits on the Harvard campus, but also to MIT and it is connected well enough to be a reasonable (and often cheaper) alternative to the Copley Square hotels for business in the Back Bay. The staff is very attentive and the room well appointed. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Highly recommended. « less

Don't get me wrong, the Inn at Harvard is very nice; the staff are helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again. But the best thing about the Inn at Harvard is that it's right there, at Harvard, and very convenient for a visit to Cambridge.
The temperature outside was very unpredictable during my visit, and when the room became uncomfortably warm, the heater wasn't very responsive and my room's window was bolted shut. I enjoyed the atrium restaurant, although the wine selection was pedestrian and the wine glasses were tiny; for the price and quality of the hotel, I'd look for a little more attention to food and drinks. But really, these are minor squabbles; the Inn at Harvard is right where you want it to be. « less

I have always liked this place - a bright, sunny, modern small hotel in a great location. I only recently noticed that they say the design is based on the Gardner Museum - which is true to the extent that it is built around a nice atrium (but human scale, not a high rise). This last trip secured this 5 star rating. My brother (who has limited mobility) found himself rather desperately in need of an over-the-counter medicine which they did not have on hand at the front desk... the manager himself raced to the CVS in the square to buy it and then refused any repayment or tip.

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Thank you for your follow up. Everything worked out just great. All enjoyed the Microtel and they were very accomodating and pleasant to work with. Your service was excellent and made the entire process for guests very easy. It eliminated the need for the guests to have to find or choose a property on their own. Location and price was set for them all they had to do was register!!! Thank you again and I informed all guests of your site and highly recommend for any future gatherings." G.B. - Danbury, CT
"Just wanted you to know that your site is the greatest. If I hadn't stumbled onto your web site I would not have been able to make as good a deal (which may have resulted in our having to cancel this trip to arrange for something more local). Thank you and your group so much!!! I will keep this web site handy for future use and also tell everyone about it." A.L. - Hershey, PA
