This was a great choice of hotels - it was easy to get to by taxi, and being on the edge of the French Quarter, it was nice and quiet. There is also a laundry which we were in desperate need of by this stage of our trip!!
On arrival the staff were concerned about the fact that there were two bookings in my name, but had done nothing about it, which was great because we wanted the two rooms. They kindly upgraded us also and gave us rooms on the same floor.
Breakfast is good - continental as well as a couple of hot options. And of course the waffle makers.
Taxis come past the hotel regularly and its really easy to get around from here. Bourbon Street is a 5 minute walk « less

I recently stayed here with some friends during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. This hotel has everything you need - clean rooms, excellent staff, comfortable beds - without the cost of the boutique hotels in the Quarter. The free "Continental" breakfast was outstanding - clearly, the folks at the hotel don't know what "Continental" means. It was really a mini-buffet with eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc. that makes going out for breakfast a needless extravagance. And it was just one of the surprises & delights that made our stay so enjoyable. Like the baskets of sunblock at the front desk and the free bottles of water they offered to weary guests after a hard day at the fairgrounds. All in all, we were very pleased with our hotel choice. « less

Believe all the glowing reviews about Quality Inn Downtown NOLA as they are spot on. We booked for 5 days over the French Quarter Festival and even when we arrived 2 days late due to storms they had upgraded our booking. Amazing room got the floor we requested, everyone is helpful, smiling and professional - given excellent service. Location is superb, just far enough away from the madness but so close to all the action, streetcar accessable, walkable to everything. Yes its not got a pretty frontage but who cares when the rooms are this good, they treat you so well, the free breakfast is filling, wifi though spoty is also free along with local phone calls. Cannot recommend enough would now not stay anywhere else if returning to NOLA. « less

I cannot say enough about the quality customer service provided at this hotel. Before our arrival a hotel representative called to verify our reservation and ensure we had directions to the hotel. The representative informed me about the cost of parking at 17.00 per night. We arrived and were quickly greeted by the front desk staff. A staff member had a cart ready to grab our bags out of the car which we parked out front at the curbside. This was most appreciated as the winds were high and rain was pouring down. These people are so incredibly hospitable that by the time we reached our room we were acquainted with the staff members including the manager. We were given three recommendations for eateries within walking distance from the hotel and handed a walking map. The staff members are very knowledgeable about tours, culture, and directions around the city. Our room included a seating area, small kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. The room was well furnished and clean. It accommodated all of our basic needs. We were on the second floor with a room facing the street. We could hear street noise but it was not horrible. There may be less noise on a higher level floor or a room not facing the street. The location is ideal because it is within walking distance of the French Quarter and trolley stops. Overall, I will return to the Quality Inn. They really know how to make people feel at home away from home. « less

You keep seeing it in every review here but until you are there you really don't believe it. The doorman, the front desk people, houskeeping, and especially Stanley, the manager. Each person greets you and truly seems to mean it. Requests both big and small are handled quickly and smoothly. It's not a luxury property so don't compare it to those. It IS: reasonably priced, perfectly located, clean, and staffed by people that genuinely want to make sure you enjoy your time in New Orleans. Our room on the 5th floor faced the street but it was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. A small business center would be nice, so would a little more storage space in the bathroom, but after 6 visits to New Orleans I think I have finally found the hotel that I will return to on each future visit. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Bob responded very promptly and the booking process went very well. They answered all our questions and offered the rooms we needed at the price they quoted. It was a very efficient way of finding a hotel for our group. You have been excellent to deal with. I have already referred your company to another teacher in our school. Thank you for being so helpful and following up on everything!!" G.W. - Cleveland, OH
"Your company has been very useful in narrowing down hotel locations. I like the fact that you give the contact persons information and I'm not having to search for phone numbers to contact them." R.B. - Raleigh, NC
